  • A simply wonderful product
there are just some products out there that are designed to do one thing and do it well and the eternal bond rubber roof sealant tape is one of those products. Our 1992 pace arrow experienced a pretty good-sized leak during a recent rainstorm while we were out at an RV park. I ended up having to stuff towels and other absorbent objects to keep the water from getting on the bed. After the storm was over and we dried out I realized I had to do something and got on the Internet where I found multiple comments about the Eternal bond line of products. Let me just tell you that this product does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it well. I was able to seal the entire rear seam on our RV and as luck would have it right after I did this job we had another pretty good rainstorm, and I was happy to see that not one drop got in. I highly recommend the Eternal bond tape and the associated products that go along with it. My only mistake that I made was I did not realize that the tape did come in two different colors white and tan. And naturally I put white tape on a tan roof. Does it show, well yeah, sort a. But once again it does the job and does it well. If you have seems that are starting to leak this is the way to go. • Definitely sticky stuff -- not sure it's UV resistant
As others have said, this stuff is STICKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple of times I let it touch a finger or tool and that was a mistake. Once you figure out how to handle it, it goes down nicely. I used it to hold some DC solar panel wires to my RV roof. I rolled out about 12-15 inches, cut it off, and cut those pieces in half to make a narrower strip and applied that over the wires. I covered/secured about 20' of a pair of wires this way. I also used it to hold down the solar panel connectors so they would not vibrate/flop around in the wind. UPDATE: I'm having second thoughts about this stuff. While it has remained firmly in place after a year, it had turned yellow. Very yellow. So, the big question is whether it is UV protected. If it isn't, it will degrade seriously over another year or two. Next time I'm on the RF roof I'll post a photo. ... show more

  • Make sure tape is where you want it to be before pressing down!
Very sticky stuff. This is the second time I've used this tape on a RV roof in lieu of lap sealant. No more annual scraping and reapplying goo on the roof. I suspect it will last as long as the roof membrane will last.

  • Easy to use, seems to be working great
Ordered because I had a small water leak in the roof of my RV. After reading/researching all of the repair options, I decided to try this stuff out as it had a great reputation and looked like it would fit my needs. 12/18/17: Approximately 37 degrees outside during installation dropping to 20 at night. Wiped roof/seam with rubbing alcohol then sprayed clean with EternaBond EC-1 before applying a layer of Eternabond tape to the suspected seam that was leaking. Very easy to install, thick and workable but also very sticky adhesive. After using this for an 8ft seam and the fridge vent, I wish I had purchased the longer roll. 50ft was enough to do my repair and learn about the quality of the material but after using it I realized how great this stuff was and plan to tape over the seams for the sun roof and vents this spring. Will update in the future with more details. ... show more

  • Be careful when installing
This works very to repair rubber roof. Be very careful when installing, you can not remove and adjust, so make sure it's right the first time. I have used this to repair and it works very well, would recommend it.
