  • Easy peasy replacement
Size: Regulator with 12-inch Pigtails
It could not have easier to replace my regulator on my RV! I had a propane leak a few weeks ago on my RV. I did the leak test with soapy water and found the fitting where the hose attaches to the propane bottle had a leak on one of my propane tanks. I decided to just replace the hoses on both of my tanks/regulator. When I bought the 2 hoses, I decided to buy a gas leak detector to check all my other propane items (grill, griddle, etc.). Not only did I have a leak again in BOTH hoses, I had a leak on my regulator as well. I decided to buy this regulator with both hoses already attached and it works like a charm! Perfect fit! Very easy installation! The hoses seem to be good quality as well as the regulator. I think Flame King should include in this kit a small spool of yellow propane PTFE tape (everyone has the white teflon tape, but DO NOT use it for propane!!!)) to install the regulator on the main propane gas line....that was my only downside for the DIY's. Other than no PTFE tape, I'm very satisfied. ... show more

Used to replace a recalled unit on my 2020 Grand Design Imagine. Easy to change out and worked great. Only worry is that the tank hoses were kinda flimsy, but we will see how they last.

I clipped this bad boy onto my RV setup and instantly felt like I’d leveled up my camping game. No more rushing to switch tanks mid-cook or wondering if my stove’s about to sputter out—this two-stage auto changeover keeps the propane flowing nonstop. Installation was surprisingly chill—just tighten the pigtails, hook up your tanks, and you’re ready to roll. I love how it seamlessly flips from one cylinder to the next without me lifting a finger, so my morning coffee and dinner grill-outs stay uninterrupted. The regulator’s solid brass body feels built to last, and those 12-inch hoses give me the perfect reach without kinking or fuss. Safety’s clearly a priority here, too—steady pressure means consistent flame control, and I’ve had zero leaks or weird pressure drops even on cold mornings. If you’re hitting the road and need reliable propane backup that handles the heavy lifting, this is your no-brainer pick. Trust me, it’s one less thing to worry about when you’re out chasing sunsets. ... show more

  • Poor build quality and quality assurance
Size: Regulator with 15-inch Pigtails
I am extremely disappointed in this. We bought it last July when our RV regulator failed and started leaking propane. We installed it at the end of the season and didn't get a chance to test it out. This season when we went out to start our camping season the RV was not getting propane. After looking at the regulator the area that is supposed to change from red to clear/green was not changing no matter which tank we turned it to. Both tanks were filled that day so we knew that the tanks weren't the issue. We then had to try to track down another regulator to attempt to fix this issue which we couldn't do because of the time of day. We ended up spending the night in 40 degree weather with no heat. Once we did get a regulator the next day we ended up having to purchase one without the pigtails for the tanks, figuring we could use the ones off of the regulator purchased here. When we got the hoses off we were quite surprised by what we discovered. It appears that during the manufacture process the hoses were defective. Within both hoses the connection between the hose and the regulator was plugged. One side had an excess of red material which I'm assuming was used as sealant for the connection. The other side had a metal part blocking the opening between the hose and the regulator. This caused both feeds to the regulator to not function causing us the problem. I am quite surprised that during the quality assurance portion of the manufacture process that this was not discovered and I'm very disappointed. ... show more
