Positive: Premium Bibles have become a love of mine. The goatskin cover is smooth and feels very durable, the pages feel silky, and the single column layout is easy to read. Great design, Crossway! Negative: It is a great readers Bible but would not be very good for highlighting and note taking. Margins are small. Overall: If you’re looking for a high quality, beautifully designed Bible, this is it. The goatskin feels sturdier than the calfskin. This has a glossier feel than the goatskin. Just buy it. You won’t regret it.

Beautiful Bible. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want to add notes or highlight. Readability is the most important factor and this Bible is made well for that. The cover is supple and one can fold it back upon itself if one needs to hold it in one hand.

A stunning Bible: cover, gilt edges, paper quality--all A+. I own Cambridge Bibles and two from. Zomndervan. This is comparable. At $350? I'm not so sure, but I received a coupon discount in addition to Amazon's price for which I am grateful. It is still pricey. The font and layout are quite nice, but I think it is easier to read the Clarion series and the font is smaller. Just noting that for people with very bad vision problems. I think that's my main issue with Cossway produced Bibles. They need to create premium products with 10.5 to 12 point font. For most people, this is a a stunning Bible , one they will treasure for a long time.

This is a high quality Bible for sure it! This is a Bible you will have for a very long time. Extremely high quality. It feels really good to hold. It's just very beautiful. The type is a little small for my eyes that are aging. But for great for those who don't need large or extra large type Bible. This is a perfect Bible in every way. I would highly recommend this as a going to church Bible and for study and devotion. We will not be disappointed. The quality of the lever leather is amazing. Def. recommend.

What an amazing, quality, great feeling bible. When I first saw this thing, I was amazed. It comes in a hard lift off box case. Upon removing the top of the box, you see the card with their pledge saying they will fix or replace the Bible if anything happens to it. It's wrapped in 3 different wraps to keep the book together, the leather in order and not creased. Upon removing the 3 wraps, you get the experience the amazing quality of the leather, the stitching and the immense softness to the cover of the Bible. Now, the softness to the cover is a double edged sword here. It will not stand upright if you want to put it on a shelf. However, i've never had a Bible with a true leather cover, and this thing is soft. This is going to be a Christmas gift for my oldest son. Good print quality, pages are nice and easy to read. It's a single column across the page like a regular book. Most bibles are 2 columns across the page, or like 1 column toward the middle of the page and a wide margin for writing in. I was actually quite surprised by this being a full page writing. It DOES have a glossary and the maps in the back. It's got the Births and deaths in the front like so many other bibles. It's even got the This bible is presented to, by, on this date (page) at the front of the bible. So this makes a perfect gift to loved ones or your pastor HIGHLY recommend this!

This Bible is incredibly in its quality of workmanship. From the start, the packaging is fantastic with the Bible wrapped in sleeves and inside a lovely gift box with an included card with specifications. It is bound in the Netherlands and has an incredible goatskin cover - and you can 100% tell it's real from the feel and the smell. It has 3 lovely red ribbon bookmarks, a great plus for reading the Bible in a reading plan with multiple books read at the same time. The ESV version is one I already love. You can also tell from the spine that it is fact a smooth sewn binding. There are a selection of colored maps at the back and places at the front to note births, adoptions, marriages, etc. The paper is soooo smooth. I loved running my finger over it just to feel the quality. And I am not exaggerating in the slightest here. I have never had a Bible or any book for that matter in such quality. You can tell this is special, and a perfect gift or even splurge for yourself since it is amazing to feel and interact with. Finally, it has great gilded edge pages that do NOT stick together at all. So it is nice for using and flipping it open because it's not like a typical gilded-edge page Bible where you have to peel all the pages apart (this can be fun in a sensory way, but gets annoying...) I 100% recommend this amazing Bible for a special occasion for someone who really cares about the presentation of scripture. It is both great to look at, feel, and touch and also usable - so do not leave it on the shelf! READ IT and use it as your Bible!

It’s absolutely a beautiful Bible! I had to start this review off with the aesthetic. It’s so beautifully crafted. From the hard boxed and careful wrap paper stock & card stock backstory to the soft supple pebbled leather and gold page gilding. I 100% agree that it’s best described as an Heirloom Bible. To begin with the goat leather, I can say I have never had goat leather anything let alone a bound Bible. I am presently surprised at the softness that makes this Bible extremely comfortable to hold. It almost reminds me of a soft vinyl. It definitely doesn’t feel like my cowb rawhide Bible which is more dense. Vinyl has a tough plastic feel but is super playable and I think that’s why this reminds me of vinyl with the biggest difference is the smooth non stretch that vinyl typically has. It’s softer than cow rawhide but not as soft as seal. It’s tough like cow rawhide. Kind of like deer skin, very close to it. I like the pebbles texture and I love the weight of this Bible and the way that the leather lays open. It’s a beautiful bound cover for sure. Binding is nice, very tight and I don’t feel like it will come apart any time soon. 👍👍 As for the Bible layout itself, overall I like these easy read of the ESV and I am a mega fan of how this book is paragraph laid out. I like not having the column structures and I don’t miss it. If I was going to put an upgrade on the Bible it would be to have spacing to write notes in the margin because there really isn’t any room in it on the pages. The pages are not bad, light weight rice Bible paper thickness and I enjoy moving from page to page. I love the size of this Bible and the text is so easy to see and read. I appreciate the red print in the New Testament and the maps are super bright with just enough detail. As a Bible collector, it’s a nice addition to my collection and I’m super happy to have it. I am overall cery impressed by it. There are a couple of things I don’t like though and for the price I would definitely want them added: It’s not tabbed and I wouldn’t want to stick tabs to it so I wish that it was indented page tabs to flip to the books easier. While the 3 ribbon satin book marks are nice, I would prefer it had 4-6 in different colors especially since it’s not tabbed. Even if it was string markers it would make it easier. I am a form meets function person and this Bible wouldn’t have been my first choice because it’s missing some important features to me. It would also not be my first choice for a gift unless it was for a Protestant preacher / pastor or for a serious Bible collector. Though it is beautiful and reads well, a new Christian or Protestant (who I typically gift bibles to) would have a tough time following it IMO, again back to form over function. For the price I would want it fully loaded with references. If you are a Bible collector though - I highly recommend it for your collection. It’s an exceptionally well made Bible. I would love one bound and covered like this in the Ethiopian version with all of the apocrypha. That would be amazing! Thank you for such a great item to review and I hope this helps 😊❤️
