I'm a big Essie nail polish fan. I bought the black color ('licorice') and it is a beautiful, shiny black. I find that I get about 3 days of unblemished wear, and that's with 2 base coats (Orly's 'nail armor') and two top coats (Beauty Secret's 'top coat') + 2 coats of this Essie color. It is so beautiful that I accidentally bought it twice, lol. I always like Essies's products. I am a nude/sheer pink kinda girl. This polish is not as pink as it looks. I think the light and cuticle oil is making it have pinker effect. This color is similar to Essies's Inside Scoop. I stick with Essie because they are realistic about their pricing. The brushes are always swift and easy to apply on your nail. I have a special top code by a different brand, so my nails don't chip for a while. I can't provide much help there. ... show more

Every couple of years, I try Essie nail polish. It always chips quickly. I always like the colors, brush and how nicely the polish flows on the nail. As you can see I purchased the 2 nail colors in the Essie french manicure kit. My left index finger chipped in 24 hours. I am not crazy about the pink color. I will look for another brand for a white that doesn't chip and a pink that is pinker/prettier. Sure wish I was in love with Essie. Didn't work out. ... show more
