It only took two coats and looks really good. I haven’t painted my nails in almost a year because the smells bother me so I was really excited to try again. There is a smell to the polish obviously but it’s not completely over bearing. I wear a mask while painting my nails and that helped a lot with this polish. I’d recommend that to anyone else who is sensitive to scent. The polish painted on smoothly and dried fast. I love that it is vegan and 8 free so it’s not chalked full of harmful chemicals. I got white because it’s a staple for me and I wasn’t sure how the scent would affect me. I had used Essie nail polish years ago and am glad I tried it out again. I’ll be buying more colors now that I know I like it Edit: It’s been over a week since I painted my toes and there is no chipping. They still look great and are holding up nicely. I painted my finger nails 3 days ago and 2 of my nails have chipped badly and a third has just started chipping. I updated my rating to a 4 star due to this. The polish works great for toes but not so great for fingers The polish only takes 2 coats and looks nice when dry. I’ll would still use this for my finger nails but would have to time it right for any events to make sure the polish was fresh and not chipping ... show more

Wore this on a beach vacation. Held up amazingly!! Wore it for 10 days: went through sand, sneakers, mud, multiple showers, salt water, pools, etc etc… vacation approved!!!

Tried it out as soon as I got it. It was very thick and wouldn't spread smoothly. It was awful and rough when it finally dried. It didn't appear to have leaked so it must have just been very old. I've bought this brand before and never had any problems. It says it's not returnable, so just threw it out. What a waste. ... show more
