Love the brush and how easy it is to apply polish because of the brush. The Colors have been great. Love how fast it dries and the shine. It feels good. Light and my nails breath. Many other polishes don’t go on as easy, have poor brushes and harm the nails.

Long lasting yes ! I do my dishes by hand, and I use my nails as tools . I have my real nails and they grow fast with this polish and top coat ! It doesn’t crack chip or peel so my nails are protected. Oh so very shiny!

Used another brand's bottom coat (cause I have it already and want to use it), 1 coat of Essie nail polish, and 1 coat of this "gel couture" top coat. It is very self-leveling and smooth. It takes awhile to dry, which is fine with me. Kept its shine for a few days and never chipped -was shiny after that too, just not like new. It never started peeling up from the bottom either. I removed all of it with ordinary nail polish remover when I wanted it off. My nail color wore away from the tip a tiny bit after several days; I could have filed them and applied another layer of top coat if I wanted to refresh it, but it still looked good enough to me so I didn't bother. Something that really helps is to apply the nail color and top coat to the edge of the nail, not just across the top. I use q-tips and nail polish remover after the color has dried to clean up around my nails where I went astray, before I apply the top coat. Lasts a lot longer if you do this. Just applying the top coat to the edge might be good enough, but haven't tried it. Happy w/ it.

I don't write a lot of reviews, but when I find something that actually lives up to the hype, I want to share with others. I do water aerobics, have a hot tub, and the chlorinated water is rough on my nails. They were peeling and chipping. I didn't want to do gel manicures due to the UV exposure. I tried dip nails, but the prep involved took layers and layers off my nail bed which only made things worse. I kept seeing articles about Essie Gel Couture and how easy it is to use and that it actually lasts up to two weeks so I figured it was worth a try and would be much less expensive than salon manis. I honestly wasn't expecting it to last, but was so happy when after two classes and a hot tub soak, my nails still looked great. There was some fading of the color at the tips so I applied another coat of the top coat and got close to two weeks out of first and subsequent manicures. Plus, this color, Fab Florals, is truly beautiful. I have already bought two other colors. "Pinned Up" seems thinner and requires 3 coats, but I'm looking forward to trying the "Embossed Lady" when it arrives.

I never painted my nails because it always chips and I just look like a hobo. But I found this polish and paired with the clear coat, I look like a woman who has her life together!! The polish lasts 2 weeks.. and I work with my hands making jewelry and as a bartender so they get a lot of wear and tare. They will chip a tiny bit around the top edges but nothing bad.. I only take it off when it’s too grown out!! I did notice my nails getting a little brittle after months of using it so between colors I’ll put on some hard as nails to give them some nourishment.. and I also started just putting it on under the polish and it hasn’t effected the lasting ware at all!
