I've always loved coppery bronze nail polishes and when my favorite bottle shattered on my floor (RIP), I went in search of a similar shade from a different brand. I'd heard good things about Essie, though it was out of my usual nail polish price range. However, this shade was selling for less than it was in a certain Big Box store, so I gave it a try and I'm so glad I did! The tone of Misfit Right In is a lovely deep darker coppery bronze that has a nice shine to it. I've been wearing it for about a week and haven't had too much wear on it yet. The first coat went on a little thinner than I expected, but with a second coat my nails, in my opinion, looked great. I do recommend a clear top coat to protect it, but that's a personal preference. I'm also terrible at applying without getting polish on my fingers, and this is one of the only nail polishes I've worn where the polish came off my skin on its own within a day of applying it. All in all, I am loving this nail polish. The price is worth it for the quality.

Normally when polishing my nails, the polish will start chipping within first day-thats why I like the lighter colors. Even when getting a manicure, the next day the polish starts chipping or wearing off. (It always amazed me for others to have their manicures lasting so long!) Now Essie expressie? For me, still looks great after 1 day and no touch up needed even after day 2. Woohoo!! Two coats are the magic number for me. On day 3, I can get by but will usually need to remove and re-apply. I use a plant-based nail polish remover and polish comes off easily. My nails are short and I've started using Vit E oil to help moisturize when not wearing polish. I will be checking into other colors of Essie expressie and looking forward to seeing how they work too!!

This colour (slate blue) was much darker than I expected. I know that its hard to get a colour accurate representation on a screen, but in my experience from other purchases is that it's usually pretty close. It doesn't leave the smoothest finish so a top coat is definitely necessary. I do like that it dries very quickly as promised. I would buy again but in a different colour.

I LOVE this polish for how easy it is to apply and how long it lasts. But I find most of the colors awful. I don't like colors with yellow or green undertones - they are not flattering to me. There are just a few colors that work. I am always hoping there will be a new flattering color for me to buy.

Sooo I’m kinda disappointed and don’t know what to think. I got a different color out of tjmaxx that was on the sales shelf and I absolutely LOVED this polish. It went on great, smooth, and the color was perfect even after one pass on the nail. It literally dried in a minute and it looked like my nails were done professionally, so I decide that this will be my go to polish brand moving forward and bought two colors off Amazon. I tried one of the colors and it was nothing like the bottle I had from Tjmaxx. For one, I had to make several passes before the color would fully cover my nail. The lay wasn’t as smooth and easy as the other one I had and it definitely did not dry as fast. So now idk if I just got lucky with the color I initially bought and this brand isn’t that great OR if I was just having a bad polish day. I’m going to try the other color I bought on Amazon (off white) and see if it does the same thing. If it does, I won’t be buying anymore of this.
