We have a cabin on lake with very poor water quality - very hard water. We didnt have room for a lfull size residential water softener so we gave this a try. We are so impressed all of the iron red color from the water is gone! We no longer have to purchase iron out - amazing.

This is my first attempt at softening water on such a small scale. Obviously it is a bit more labor intensive than a home system because you have to regenerate the resin manually. It is, however, a fraction of the size of a home system, which makes it perfect for an RV or boat. I plan to use it simply to wash cars when not in use elsewhere because it has greatly decreased the water spots evident with the city tap water we are using currently. It dropped the ppm of our water from 750 to about 550. It was perfect right out of the box. No leaks or resin escaping. I regenerate when the water stops feeling “slippery” but I says it will last 30 days. More like two weeks out here but I understand that is dependent on the hardness of the water you are feeding it. So far so good.

After almost 1 year of living with very hard water in our RV, we can finally shower and it feels like you have soap on you; the faucets no longer have white crust on them; and my skin does not require constant moisturization. The test strips showed our water was 1 from the worst before installation and 0 hard water after. Installation was very easy. I used quick connects, to make set up/tear down easier and, even with that, installation was about 30 minutes.

Happy Friday Boys! I had the best car washing experience today thanks to this no water spot soft water tank that I plug into my pressure washer. I cannot tell you how amazing this soft water tank is. Just look at those before and after test strips! They’re literally no water spots and the car was so simple to dry with the blower. Highly recommend!

This water softener has been a disappointment. Our previous campground in Florida had hard water, so I ordered the largest model of this softener to avoid having to refill the salt every month. However, I ended up needing to add 6 pounds of salt at least every 4 days! I was frustrated with the results and contacted Brad from RV Water Filter Store, who recommended using ResCare to potentially extend the refill period. Unfortunately, it didn't help, and I still had to refill the softener every 4 days. My neighbor had a similar softener from another manufacturer and only needed to refill the salt every 6–8 weeks. Now we're staying in Utah, where the water isn’t as hard as in Florida, but I'm facing the same issue. I end up adding 42 pounds of salt to this water softener every month, which is becoming very expensive over time. I suspect there is something wrong with the water softener I purchased from RV Water Filter Store. I am very unhappy with this product. I wrote Brad several emails to ask if I could return the softener, but he has not responded. In the end, I am stuck with an expensive softener that does not work as expected. I cannot recommend this company. There are much better softeners on the market—stay away from this brand.

I have this plumbed in at my house that has an existing filtration system which includes a "salt-free water conditioner" that doesn't work well. It doesn't remove dissolved hard water minerals. We have 39gpg of dissolved minerals in my city so a water softener is practically mandatory. I chose this unit because of the 16000 grain capacity and small footprint. The other home units I was looking at took up too much space in my garage. I'm really enjoying the soft water and I regret not getting this sooner. With the 16000 grain capacity I get about 2 weeks between regens and I don't mind doing it manually to save space.

I have had severe hard water issues for the past 6 months that have caused residue buildup and I couldn't get the soap to lather . .! Took 1 hour of hooking up and testing/tightening fittings, and adding a pre-filter , and it is amazing the difference in the quality of water now . . the test strips went from dark brown to light grey . . from worst to best!! I am waiting to see how long the original resin lasts before requiring recharge . . hopefully I can get at least 3 months use. I would buy this again.
