The gift that never has failed my artistic boys. My father was an artist, and not shortly after his grandson, whom he never had the chance to meet, was given his gift. He loves to sculpt, draw, paint, use programming, and build the character through his 3D printer. He has made some pretty cool sensory toys for his little sister. My husband is quite the artist himself. He has enjoyed photography but as of this week was sneaking upstairs to his son room for all the essentials to paint. It turned out quite amazing in my opinion, and I got to gift him with this haul. Well I call it: Solar burst- reminder that creation and destruction often arrive together.

This is ok as a beginner's kit or a kid's play kit. Note that I had to sand it as the wood was rough and splinters were all over. I then stained it. The palette had paint stains on back and the knives set packing was open. That being said, it has 6 flat canvas 2 of each size. The paint set is nice with variety of colors. Colors are not bright. The paint brushes are dollar quality, but do the job. The palette knives have a good size variation. Quality ok for the price. I would suggest you inspect before gifting. Otherwise, good for tweens and teens.
