  • best chugging pick ever !!
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Mini
i play metal riffs all day.. made my life so much easier.. accurate is the key word !! design has eliminated a lot of the noise caused by unnecessary contact between the pick and the string during fast riffing and chugging.. highly recommended... i have switched over from jazz 3 to the Prodigy after my first try... great job EB !!! ... show more

  • Best pick I’ve used
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Standard
Went to Guitar Riot in Cleveland, OH to try out a fender custom shop and forgot to take a pick with me. My lucky day someone left a prodigy 1.5 on the amp head inside the tryout room. I bought the guitar and told the shop keep i was taking the pick i found too! They are all i use now-comfortable, accurate...there just awesome...if you don’t like thick picks don’t bother...but if you do, I got to believe you’ll love these. :) ... show more

  • The holy grail
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Mini
Iv searched many years trying to find the perfect pick for me. I narrowed it down to jazz 3 picks and then began testing different brands. Iv gone from Dava, Dunlop, and so on , and then came across these Ernie Ball prodigy picks. Just everything about this pick felt right in my hands, and to my ears. I still like the other brands a lot , but this pick is my go to. Highly recommend you give them a try. ... show more

  • I love the shield pick!
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Multipack
I play guitar and bass. I mostly use Dunlap Jazz III picks for the guitar but the Ernie Ball version is great also. The sharp jazz pick is really good for what its meant for. I play mostly tech death metal and prefer a smaller pick for that. I play finger style and use picks for bass depending on what I'm playing. But when I use picks for bass the EB triangle shield is my personal favorite. The 1.55mm is perfect. ... show more

  • While not my favorite pick, I appreciate what they’re doing
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Standard
I’ve seen a lot of people rave about these so I’ve given them a shot on multiple occasions. However, this is definitely a pick you want to wear in as I find it’s out of the pack point to be a bit annoying. As someone who favors Dunlop Gator Grips or D’Addrio black ice this picks point was a bit too excessive for me but I absolutely loved the sound and attack it gave my strings without making them as harsh as the Gator Grip or as mid of the road of the Black Ice. I say give them a shot if you like pointed picks ... show more

  • I like
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Mini
I had to switch from Dunlop Jazz III because of a strange skin reaction I was getting from the plastic or dye on those picks. I tried these Ernie Balls since they were basically the same size and feel and they are great. Very comfortable, responsive, different tones if you use different edges of the pick. Basically everything you expect. An improvement would be to grit up the middle somehow so it won't slip too easily. Not sure why all pick makers don't offer that, especially on these small "jazz" picks. ... show more

  • This is THE best pick for metal.
Color: Black (1.5mm) Size: Mini
I have been a staunch advocate of the Tortex Pitch Black Jazz picks for years. I didn’t think there could be a better pick - then this was released. This is by far the best guitar pick for playing lead or metal guitar, hands down. It is very sharp, small, and precise. Lots of attack and speed. If you need a pick for chugging or fast leads, this is it. ... show more

  • Super-sharp, crisp sounding yet removes string noise.
Color: White (2.0mm) Size: Standard
I am still geeking out about these picks. Before, I was using Dunlop Max-Grips. Firstly, before I even plugged one of my guitars in, I noticed that acoustically, it was louder and crisper using the Ernie Ball Prodigy pick. When I plugged it in, I noticed a distinct 'crispness' over my previously beloved picks. On my down-tuned metal machine with super fat strings, these picks make WAY less string noise than my other normal picks, which I find interesting. I have worn out some picks in the past in an hour, but I've put a couple hours on one pick, and so far, I don't see any wear on it. I love these picks. ... show more
