I'm picky with pics. I have all kinds, sizes, material, brand names, you name it I've tried it. I genuinely like the tone of these pics a little bit better than anything else I've used. And the price is ridiculous. It's a no-brainer. I play about 70 shows a year. Acoustic and electric. I like mediums. These are amazing. I genuinely love them. They last much longer than similar celluloid name brand pics. I don't know why. I don't care. These are great pics. At the very least just try them. They're so cheap! IMO the quality of these picks is just as good as the Fender picks I've used since the 80s. I like the variety of colors, most of which match the color of several of my guitars that I couldn't find matching Fender picks for. These picks do have a very strong chemical odor as others have mentioned. I suggest laying them out in the open to let them air out for several days before using them if the smell is too strong for you. The picks that I've been using for a few weeks no longer have that chemical smell. ... show more

I've been playing Fender and other name brand picks for years. At our shows I often get asked for picks and I thought I would get these to hand out as a way to hang on to my $6 per dozen name brand picks. Well I am impressed! These are every bit the quality of the name brand at a fraction of the price, these are a great medium pick and identical to the name brand in every way. Great to get solid picks of different thicknesses in bulk. Not a big fan of the plastic smell, but it’s not a problem. What can be a problem is their matte texture. For me, they move around between my fingers a bit too much and can be difficult to grip. You pretty much just get what you pay for, and they’re great if you need cheap and bulk quickly. But I’d like to try a better brand that’s easier to grip. ... show more

    • Great picks -- get the set for ACOUSTIC guitar - unbreakable material, similar to tortex picks

I normally use orange .60mm tortex picks -- the pick set with photos showing non-see-through picks (currently listed as being for ACOUSTIC guitar) are pretty well unbreakable. There are three sizes -- the thinnest of the 3 sizes is pretty close to the orange tortex thickness. The other two sizes are a little too thick for me but nice to have around. I read some reviews about how the see through ones break easily, kind of like a fender pick does -- so get these instead! These are fine for any guitar (acoustic or electric), bass or other instrument. I like how the material has some texture, so they're easier to hold onto while playing. UPDATE -- maybe "unbreakable" was a little too strong of a word... my dog got ahold of one and it did crack in half. I took the broken one and bent it hard and you can make these crack in half (probably more difficult on the medium and thick picks). So, they're not unbreakable -- but way more durable than those tortoise shell fender picks. Still 5 stars. ... show more
