Description

Why would I use finger picks? These celluloid thumb and finger picks are great in improving the sound quality and clarity as well as to gain volume as you finger pick your guitar / banjo / ukulele. Here you can find some tips: Adjust the finger picks on the tips of you fingers, with the pad of your finger resting against the playing side. Put the thumb pick on your thumb and use the part that is sticking out to pluck the guitar strings. Twist the finger picks slightly to reach the best position where the pick comes flat against the string. This twisting means that the pick tongue may not be on the same plane as the finger nail. The amount of twist depends on your wrist position, and may vary from one finger to another. Wear the finger picks so that only the pick touches the string, not your finger. If the fingers touch the string, they tend to affect the sound. Adjusting the size and shape for a custom fit: The size and shape of the picks can be adjusted for custom fit for each individual finger with the aid of hot water. Use this procedure at your own risk. Dip the pick (or the part that is to be modified) briefly in hot water with tongs. Avoid too long exposure to hot water, so that the pick does not lose its structure. Take the pick out of the water and make sure not to burn your fingers. Adjust the shape of the pick, and then hold it in the desired shape while dipping it into ice cold water until it hardens into the new shape. This procedure can be used, if the picks are too small or large for your fingers or you want to modify the curve of the tip of the pick. You can mark different picks with a marker if you want to have custom fit for each finger.

  • A must have for any acoustic guitarist!
Size: Medium Color: white
Got these as a gift for a family member, and they make for a very pleasant sounding sharp and consistent tone when you play. It will take a bit of getting used to from regular finger picking, but she loves them! Comes with a little soft case to keep them in and they seem to be a great quality. Buy these and support this growing company! ... show more

  • Beautiful Finger Picks
Size: Medium Color: white
These are the perfect picks for my guitar playing. While they were a bit "tight", I put each on a fork and held the pick in very hot (not boiling) water for about 20 - 30 seconds. Then, I fit the pick onto my finger or thumb for a bit, ran it under cold water, and it fits well!

  • The large picks are very large
Size: Large Color: red
The tone with these picks is great with my open back banjo. They sound much warmer and fuller than my metal picks. But if you want to try these out, please know that the large picks are very large. I’m 6’1” and I have probably larger than average sized hands and fingers - I can span over 1.5 octaves on a piano. The thumb pick is comfortable, but the finger picks fall off of my fingers when playing. I’ve ordered the medium picks and will see how they fit. I suspect I’ll end up using the large thumb pick and the medium finger picks. Get the large only if you have larger sausage style fingers. ... show more

  • Stiff picks for small fingers
Size: Medium Color: red
These picks are clearly well-made and durable and produce a pleasant, somewhat muted tone. But they are also heavy, tight, ineslastic and rather long. They may be a good choice for slender fingers and are of quality as good, if not better than most plastic picks, but they are not comfortable for larger or thicker fingers, and their length makes them unsuitable for shorter fingers. ... show more

  • Nice picks!
Size: Large Color: red
Great picks. A lot more comfortable than the traditional metal picks we’ve all used. They’re perfect length and produce a nice tone. I’ll definitely buy again when needed.

  • Best picks for the banjo
Size: Large Color: red
These picks work perfectly for me on the banjo. I prefer these picks to the much-used metal picks: they have such a good feel and create a far better tone.

  • The sizes don't match from one country to the next, it's always a crap shot.
Size: Large Color: blue
This product is poor, the reason, apparently in China the fingers are very small. As a guitar player, and an average American, I can never get the right sizes. My fingers are large, not super large, large normal. This is the second time I have made a purchase for items related to the fingers, and their large is SUPER SMALL. Yes, I'm frustrated as I'm learning and time is important. Now I have to wait to get the proper size. I think these sellers should so as they do sizes for shoes. I note, some shoes actually point out the country for the size. In America, we drink lots of milk, meat highly nutritional foods, our bodies are larger. Since very little is made in the USA anymore, the size issue is poor. ... show more
