I think these pots are great for the price. No, they're not as nice as a ceramic or even a mica pot but i see people calling these training pots and in my opinion these are a step above training pots. They're good enough to serve as a cheap display pot until you find something better. They're pretty solid. They flex a little if you push hard enough but still plenty stiff enough to not bend under the weight of your bonsai. The drainage holes are rough as I saw someone else mention in a review but easy enough tosmooth out with a razor knife or file. It is plastic after all. And there are no wire holes as also mentioned but again it's plastic and easy enough to drill your own wherever you want. They're a little shiny for my taste, i would have preferred a matte finish but a little sand paper will fix that. And I'm not a fan of the designs on the side's of the pots. I think it makes the pots look cheap and they should have left them plain. But they are sturdy and big. I bought the 16" shallow pots. Keep in mind that the dimensions are outside dimensions, inside is 14" ... show more

Size: Tall 17 Inch
Good size for large bonsai. Shape is great. Being a deeper pot, it works really well in our desert heat and low humidity since it retains soil moisture longer than shallow pots. Only complaint is that for such a large container it should be made of a thicker material.

These have messy drain holes drilled into the bottom, but no smaller wire holes. The edges around the top are a bit rough but not to the point of scratching yourself. I'll probably use them as training pots for larger stock, but won't buy these again.

The are good for me. Just starting out and moving plants over. These plants are about a year old that were in 10gal grow bags. I do wish they sold the drip trays with them. I will have to find some that fit.
