I bought 3500 of these lights for outdoor Holiday decorations. I wrapped the AC units in plastic with electrical tape so they would not be exposed to weather. The lights worked great until the first rain. After that, about a quarter of the lights either stopped working or worked intermittently. Upon closer inspection, I see that some of the strands were spliced at the factory and the splicing was not done well. On top of that, the strands of wire that connect all the lights is very thin and brittle. When I took all the lights down there were some kinks in the strands caused by placement in branches in trees and bushes outside. These kinks split and the wires broke, this happened on two of the eight strands I bought. I suspect I will have to repair this next year before using them again. Also, since you cannot connect them end-to-end means that you have to have one plug per strand which makes the logistics of getting power to the strands complicated. Overall these lights are very bright but the durability and quality is questionable. ... show more

    • Strobe lights, not fairy lights

The media could not be loaded. Seizure inducing strobe light effect. Not in any way fairy like. There are no settings that stop the strobe light, none that actually slow it down so it dims slowly and lighrs slowly. Every light flashes simultaneously, not individually so you do not get a fairy like light. You get a strobe like disco effect. If you have seizures yku would have one the instant you plug it in as it come turned on. You also have to press the off button and hold it to turn it off. No instructions indicating that either. Bought this for my special needs child's "hideaway" room. Sending it back becauae it is not only hard on the eyes, it makes you more anxious than relaxed. I have paid less for Christmas lights that perform better than this. Terrible product and description. If I wanted a disco this would be the product. But we wanted calming and relaxing twinkling lights. A strobe effect is anything but calming. I unwound it several feet just to be sure. But no, they all flash simultaneously. ... show more

These colors are very hard to find, most light manufacturers make lights in primary colors, the beautiful thing about this strand is that they are a light pastel, much more pleasing to the eye than primary colors. You can also use them year round because they don’t appear as Christmasy as primary colored lights. Love love, I would buy again, and also the wire makes the lights practically invisible when on display. A huge plus! ... show more

Awkward plug-in transformer. I put these lights in an empty blue gin bottle and they look great. The plug assembly is rather cumbersome, it sticks out of the wall 5 inches. The transformer plugs directly into the electrical socket. A better design would have a cord and plug connecting the transformer to the socket. There is no way to conceal this plug assembly. That is the reason I rated this at four stars. ... show more

The size was good to string my full tree and the lights are pretty, but they are not red. They are very pink.

    • Didn't work out of the box!!!

I was looking for waterproof lights to use in an outdoor project. These seemed like they would work perfectly - waterproof, bright white and a long string with lots of lights However, the lights were spliced together in at least 4 different places and apparently not all of the splices had a good connection. When I first turned them on, they kept flashing. Thinking it was set to flash, I changed the setting on the remote and they held steady. Then, as I started to lay out the lights they started flashing again and only half the lights worked. The weak point was the spliced connection. If I held the wire just right, the lights would work and burn steady. If I moved the wire (lifted it up or down), all of the lights past the connection would go out. If I thought I could have taped the wire to keep it from loosing contact, I would have. But, since I was planning to use these outside and I knew they would be subject to breezes, I was concerned about all of the spliced connections. Because of this concern, I am returning these lights and will look for a better solution. ... show more

First strand of 165 feet were fine however, second set had a broken wire at the black connector. I compared the two strands and it’s in fact a defect. Just want a replacement product. *UPDATE: Lights lasted a total of 5 days before half of the 165ft went out.... *Update: Er Chen has still not messaged me or offered a replacement ... show more
