These are great, both straight blade and thinners. Really sharp out of the package and easy to grip correctly with control. They have a nice heft to them, I find it much easier to trim my beard all round my face with these than the lighter weight scissors I used before (even though they were sharp, the extra mass makes the difference.)

I purchased this set in 2015 and haven't regretted it once as I've saved thousands of dollars now by cutting my own hair. They've needed to be sharpened once, getting due for another sharpening soon. I'm left handed, and even though the ergonomics aren't designed for left hand use, I can finish my hair without pain (30 min). If you're left handed and looking for a set for professional use, I would recommend finding a left hand specific set of scissors. The adjustable tension between the blades is a nice feature, and the straight scissors are precise enough for my long layers. The thinning shears are great, too. One hint: Make sure which one you're holding before you cut. Can't say how I know this, but trust me, you'll only make that mistake once! Cannot speak to any quality differences between 2015 production and today's, but I have been overwhelmed by what a positive difference purchasing this set has made in my life. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to trim costs and look their best. Hat's off to the manufacturer for creating a genuinely valuable set. I've been unexpectedly delighted by the quality and continued ease of use. Whomever designed this set should be proud of their work. Thank you!

I’m not a licensed beautician or barber…that being said, I do cut my husband’s hair. He’s middle eastern and has a lot of course, wavy hair. I watched a few YouTube videos and decided my husband could benefit from these scissors. He needed a haircut, but I decided to wait for these scissors to arrive. Before his haircut, he looked like Einstein. WOW! These scissors are amazing! They’re sharp and the thinning sheets work great! I think I’m going to start charging him for his haircuts from now on, because now he looks like that guy from the Dos XX commercial!

These shears work exactly like they’re supposed to. Tmtheyre super cheap. The only thing is the finger holes are a bit small so I need to learn to work with it so I don’t put my whole thumb in and it doesn’t slide out adult.
