It uses sensors to measure the correct water for a wash load and will heat dry for the optimum time without any waste of energy. It is the only combo in the world that offers an optional vented or condensing dry that can be changed according to the season at the touch of a button (patent pending). I would not have bought this if I had known they expected me to renovate my laundry room to compensate. The 5500 combo washer dryer stopped drying after 2 months, and it tooks weeks and weeks to get them to contact via text instead of phone. When they did, they quickly "identified the problem" 1 - the dryer vent hose goes down and then into the wall. I was instructed to cut a new hole I'm my extern wall at exactly the spot that the dryer vent would go to. 2 - the washer drain hose also needs to be directly behind this appliance with about a 1 foot tolerance. Again, requiring me to move the drain for the laundry room several feet. To note, this appliance is NOT the size of a standard washer or dryer, so the chance that your laundry room has the vent at the correct place is next to none. I kind of think they identified a solution they know will not be done as a way to say it's not their fault. But again, if I had known that I would have to hire a contractor to "fix" my laundry room to match this one specific appliance for it to work properly, I would have spent the money on a normal unit. ... show more

I purchased one from the EQUATOR website. it didn't worked well for me, clothes are not getting dry enough. i asked for return and they demanded to perform a tech visit before return it. after tech visi took place they disregard original return request and said return time was expired. stay away form this company. terrible customer service. ... show more
