Update: The customer support person, Ethan was phenomenal. He worked tirelessly with me to get the machine working. I’m still only giving 4 stars bc a brand new, $1,300 purchase should work without all of the hassles we went through. Arrived in non-working condition. Update: after a week, the machine finally works. They replaced a door latch, a door sensor, and a control board. The control board was the problem. As others have said, the combo units aren’t great for drying clothes, but it saves going to the laundry facilities at campgrounds. Initial review: I’ve had this unit since last week and still can’t use it. I had no response from the seller, who apparently is NOT Equator, since I was told if I wanted to exchange it, I’d have to contact the seller. I sent them a message on Friday and as of Monday, I still haven’t heard back from them. This is not my first washer/dryer combo in an RV, so I knew what to expect performance-wise. However, when I received the unit, the box was kind of pieced together and had water inside the box. My husband thought maybe it was from factory testing. We hooked up water lines, removed the shipping rods, and attached the drain hose. The door was locked and it wouldn’t open. I read everything on google, but the instructions were inside, along with the water lines they provided. I pushed every button that was suggested and it still wouldn’t unlock. I finally found the power outage lever in the bottom front panel and got the door open. There was water and disintegrated cardboard inside. Now, I’m suspicious that this unit was returned. Anyway, thinking the problem was solved, I tried to run a small load. I got an immediate error code of E1- door isn’t closed. After plugging/unplugging, working with Equator customer service for a long time, they said they would send a door latch and door sensor. I received both parts on Saturday and called the technician this morning. He came out and installed the parts, only to have the same issue. He called customer support and tried all of their fixes, but now they’re sending me a new control board. I feel like I got a used, defective machine, and I’m upset that I might eventually have to pay someone again to remove this 170 lb unit from my MH. The picture is the current status of my brand new machine. I’m a very unhappy customer right now.

I am quite unhappy with this product for the noise it makes. It seems to occur every time the Tumbler stops to change direction. A loud clank, as best I can describe it occurs and it is very disturbing. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of these days it just stops working and breaks down .This doesn’t occur during the washing cycle, but during the final spin and the drying cycles. I reviewed this product after the first time I used it and the seller thought that I hadn’t removed the bars that are in a machine for transportation, but I did remove them before I even used the machine just like the instruction said so I have no idea what’s making this noise. I certainly can’t recommend this machine.

We’ve had our Equator EZ4600 for about 2 weeks now. It replaced a 25 year Equator washer/dryer combo in our motorhome. We absolutely love this machine!! It gets our clothes very clean with little soap. We are using it ventless so, of course, it takes longer for clothes to dry! Using it ventless takes almost 2 hours to dry a normal load. When you remove the clothes they are VERY hot and still feel damp. However, once the clothes are removed and allowed to cool, the moisture disappears and they are no longer damp! I really only have two complaints about this machine: 1) I wish I was able to control the water temperature within each type of cycle. For example, on the “quick 20” cycle, the water temperature is cold. It would be really nice if I had the ability to choose warm or hot instead of it always being cold water for a quick wash. 2) The drain pump is quite noisy. During all other parts of the cycle, you can hardly tell it’s running…and then the drain pump comes on. Sometime I wonder if something is wrong with it, but we haven’t gotten any codes so I’m just going to assume it’s loud!! Bummer!! Overall, this is a great little machine. If you’re going to use it ventless, don’t expect it to dry a load in 60 minutes! If you can manage your expectations for ventless drying, you’ll be just as happy as we are with it!!
