I have been using pro marine resin for 3 years now. The product was not doing what I wanted Anymore so I switched to this resin. I am in love!!! Crystal clear casts! Very little bubbles. TIP: use your heat gun after stirring ...this will help stir and release bubbles at the same time. It cures extremely hard too! Without a heat mat or resin oven this resin takes about 7 hours to remove from the mold but still super soft. Using a resin oven I have my pieces done within 2 hours. Alright, I've gone through an entire gallon kit of this resin and feel fully qualified to write a decent review. I've tried several different brands (okay, like 6, but still) and truth be told, this is my least favorite so far. It's not terrible, don't get me wrong, and it serves its purpose just fine, but there are some intricacies about it that make it a little bit hard to work with. Let's start with the pros: -Fairly long pot time (a least 40 minutes), so you can work slowly -no discernable smell really -crystal clear once fully cured -reasonably priced Now for the cons, or those intricacies I was talking about: -Extremely long cure time - I'm talking like 72 hours over here. It's demoldable long before that, but to get from poured to sandable, it consistently took at least 3 days. That could be due to the weather here though, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. -Kinda thick, not crazy thick, but it takes a while for the bubbles to release. I'm not a patient stirrer, so this is especially annoying for me. If you are, then this shouldn't be a problem for you. -For the love of god, please PLEASE use mold release. With every other brand of resin I have used, I have never needed mold release and have never used it. I cannot tell you how many of my molds have been damaged or even ruined by this resin because I failed to use mold release. Since this is the only one I've needed mold release for, that's a pretty big inconvenience for me. If you are a faithful user of mold release, this won't be a problem for you either. Overall, this is a decent resin, but I won't use it again because it's just not for me. I'm not patient enough for this stuff. I give it four stars because I know it works well if you can work around its quirks. ... show more

This is a good resin at a great price. I only gave it 4 stars because like every other epoxy resin I’ve tried you can only do solid colors or “dirty” pours. I bought this because it was thicker than my last epoxy with the hopes that when mixing colors I could keep a stark border between the different colors. Unfortunately the colors all tend to bleed together so it’s really no different than a dirty pour. I even pushed it until the resin was almost too thick to pour yet it somehow all managed to mix in the molds. Not a problem per se, but I’ve yet to find an epoxy resin that is suitable for multicolor pours the way polyester resin is. I’ll continue to use it for single color pours but will stick with poly resin for my multicolor pours. Also, I always seem to get an air bubble or two if I don’t use a pressure pot partially due to the shape of the molds, partially because imo no resin is actually “bubble free”. The translucent color items I’ve made have turned out spectacular with this stuff, IF and only if I put it in a pressure pot. Seems to work fine in molds up to 2” (25cm) deep. ... show more

I wish I would have not thrown away the cap, but sadly I did. I put the pump in then a few days later warmed up the resin by letting the container sit in hot water for a bit. Just like I always do, went to use the resin, and no matter what I did the pump would not work. Needless to say, pouring the resin from the bottle around the pump ( since I threw the cap away I had to keep that in) was a major pain. Highly unhappy as I bought the bigger one for the ease of having the pump. ... show more
