Description

The Les Paul Standard 60s models from Epiphone’s new Inspired by Gibson Collection recreate the sound of 1960s era Les Pauls. Featuring a classic mahogany body with a maple cap, Grover tuners, and powered by ProBucker humbuckers with CTS potentiometers. Epiphone’s long friendship with Mr. Les Paul began in 1940 when Les built one of the world’s first solid body electric guitars while working nights at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan. Les’ first solid body guitar, nicknamed 'the Log', would go on to inspire the Les Paul Standard, which many consider the greatest electric guitar ever made

  • Great sound

For the cost, this is perfect for performances in classes and practice at home.

  • Christmas
Hand Orientation: Left Color: Iced Tea
This product is a Christmas present I have no idea if it is good or not! But the person who wants it picked it out because it was a good deal for a good guitar!

  • Incredible value!
Hand Orientation: Right Color: Iced Tea
Beautiful finish and passable setup right outta the box. Intonation is spot on, neck relief is perfect, I simply lowered the bridge a tiny bit. No fret buzz, even after my adjustment, frets are nicely dressed with no sharp edges or high spots, The pickups have all the versatility we've come to expect out of a H/H setup. They excel at everything from a warm clean tone to that angry growl (you KNOW that's why you want one) :) The seller kept me updated on shipping status along the way and I couldn't be happier. Truthfully, I've had Gibsons and Epiphones and the 2 best I've ever had were Epiphones as far as playability goes. Hats off to Epiphone for upping their game of late. Even if you can afford a Gibson, I wouldn't automatically discount these axes without taking one for a spin. ... show more

  • Standard 60s Iced Tea
Hand Orientation: Right Color: Iced Tea
Usually I'll find something that nags like intonation or fret buzz and requires tweaking...but after the unboxing ceremony I played this thing for nearly 2 hours straight! The only thing I've modified is swapping the 10-46 with 09-46 strings after a few days because that's what I prefer and use on my Fenders. I wasn't expecting the expensive finishing work of a Gibson and yet it's still a beautiful well crafted guitar that doubles as wall art when not in use. In every playable aspect this guitar has met my expectations. It sounds beautiful through a Hot Rod Deluxe and adds a nice punch with an OCD pedal. As for shipping it arrived within a few days double boxed and no issues. ... show more

  • Headstock discovered crack.
Hand Orientation: Left Color: Bourbon Burst
I don't recommend buying a guitar from Amazon. After a year it is discovered the neck is cracked at the head stock, indicating at some point an impact. I never dropped it or let it fall. It comes in a cardboard box, no case, no real protection. It's a good guitar with proper handling. If you want a guitar like this, I recommend a reputable dealer over amazon. If you do buy from Amazon when you get it loosen the strings and put some torque on the headstock to look for cracks. My biggest complaint with Amazon is shipping and handling. Be careful. ... show more
