My husband uses extension cords outside from time to time and the old 100 foot long cord is patched with black tape in three places, so he needed a new one to carry with him in his truck tool chest. I liked this one because it is bright yellow and easy to see when it is strung across our property. He used it the first day to charge up the battery on the riding lawn mower when he used it for the first time this summer season. It is heavy duty and worked great when he had to run it from the back porch to the storage shed across the backyard to where the lawn mower was stored. It made a perfect Father's Day gift for him, although I gave it to him early when he needed it. Don't think you'll ever find a 100ft cord for under $30, let alone $20. Very nice extension cord - as good as anything you'd buy at a home improvement store. Very sturdy and thick. Very pleased.

I bought this to replace my old 100' extension cord, which after 20 years was a lost cause. The pros: seems to be well made and is certainly better than my old extension cord. Also, this won't kink up as much as the cheaper cords. The cons: this is quite heavy and seems like overkill for home use. Better for professional use. Additionally, it costs more which is to be expected. If I could do it again, I just would have bought one of the cheaper 100 ft extension cords, as I got 20 years out of the last one and it was much easier to haul around due to its lower weight. Never noticed the weight of an extension cord before I got this one. Your arms will actually tire a bit, as you wind up the cord. Overall, it is a great extension cord, just more than what most homeowners will need in my opinion. ... show more

We bought this extension cord for my Son's AC unit. Unfortunately, our apartment has very strange wiring and only three fuses (other apartments have 4 to 5 fuses). Most of the outlets run off of just two fuses. The third fuse is only available from a few select outlets scattered around the rooms. We run the AC units (2 of them) from one of these outlets to stop the other two fuses from popping on a regular basis during the summer months. This extension cord performs as one expects. I have a stray or two that I have been feeding for a month now.the weather has been quite cold.
