I bought this pair in xs in Rainbow Skull. The good: useful pockets (although not for phone, but for keys & smaller things), cool print, sturdy, thick fabric, compressive, you feel very secure wearing this pair. Doesn't ride up as much as other pairs. The bad: the back is white, meaning when stretched you can see the white fabric... this means it is not squad proof when really stretched. These shorts are awesome fit and material. Size remains consistent after machine washing on cold and laying out to dry. Sits below the hips but not too low (it's really hard to find great shorts that are not high rise). Perfect for yoga, cycling, rock climbing, and others.

I’m not a fan of high rise yoga shorts so I was excited to finally find these! Low rise, pockets, super bootie short! Thicker material so will last, small top waistband. Wish they had more options!!!

I really love the pattern of these shorts, they’re very fun and colorful, and the pockets are amazing. The only problem I have is the sizing. I originally bought a medium since that is my usual size, but found the shorts to be just a little too tight for me. No problem, I’ll just order them the next size up (large) and they’ll fit better; I was wrong. Going from a medium to a large did not actually make the shorts bigger, it just made them longer. I loved the length of the medium size shorts, but the large size is a good two-three inches longer, but the fit is the same tightness of the medium. I’ll still be keeping the large size shorts, but hopefully this is helpful for anyone waffling between medium and large ... show more

I have purchased several other Epic MMA shorts for CrossFit, but these ones run a bit small. I still wear them, but next time I will order a size up. For reference I am 5'2", weigh 140lbs, 28in waist, pants 6-8, athletic build.

    • Bought these to wear with my tankini in place of regular bottoms
They aren't lined like a swimsuit, but that is how I use them. And they work great! I'm an active, fit 5-8, 150# with a bit of a bootie, and these fit fairly well. They could be slightly larger in the seat, but I'm used to that. I wanted something with less of an inseam than "bike" shorts, but enough to cover the cheeks. These fit the bill pretty well. I bought a size small (I'm 5-4 & 112lbs) and these fit perfectly- no digging in but also no sliding around. Pocket is perfect for holding gels. Likes: Mid-rise Large side pockets Squat-proof Maroon color is as pictured Perfect blend of fabric (cotton, polyester, and spandex) Butt doesn't hang out even though the short occasionally rolls up the thighs Dislikes: I really wish these shorts were made with a longer back and shorter front. Very few people are built like a board. Now I have an awkward profile with a waist band that is almost up to my navel in the front but low on my back, along with an inseam that looks appropriate from the front but too short in the back. Overall, these are almost perfect. I ordered both a small and a medium. The small is 13" across the top of the waistband, and the medium is 13.5". The medium is only about 0.6-0.75" longer in length.
