🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Eotech XPS3 is a high-end optic sight with mostly positive reviews. Customers comment on its durability, clear optics, and field of view. Though it is designed for both professionals and enthusiasts, there are mixed reviews raising concerns about manufacturing defects with tilted optics and mushy windage stuation causing zeroing issues.

Pros:

  • 🔭 Clear, Precise Optics: Customers report sharp 1 MOA reticle and good light transmission
  • ⚖️ Lightweight: Known to be smallest and lightest Eotech yet, ergonomically friendly
  • 🔋 Battery Performance: Runs on single CR123 battery efficiently
  • 💪 Durability: Many users comment on its robustness and long-lasting performance
  • 💰 Cost-Effective: Customers find it worth its value compared to higher-priced alternatives

Cons:

  • 💼 Missing Parts: Some users received packages missing the thumb wheels and batteries
  • 📐 Optic Mounting Issue: Reports of optics canting to the right when mounted
  • 💫 Reticle: There is an issue with the turret, especially with mushy windage and turring to the left
  • 🎛 Zeroing: A recurring issue is holding zero while using the device

Should I Buy It?

If optical precision, durability, and cost-effectiveness are your priorities, this sight is worth considering despite a few isolated reports of manufacturing defects. However, if you are concerned about accuracy and expect zero issues, you might want to explore other options or make sure your purchase comes with a good return policy.

  • Eotech vs. Aimpoint vs. Trijicon
Style: XPS3-0
Pros- transverse single cr123 battery, recoil from large rifles no longer causes movement of the battery. Smallest and lightest eotech yet. The center dot is 1 moa making long range shot (100 yards plus) easy as compared to the 2 and 4 moa dots on the Aimpoints. Literally a unlimited field of view and large lense for reticle to be displayed on being square as compared to round like the aimponts and trijicons. Throw a magnifier in front of it and now its a scope and is night vision ready (model specific) Cons- it does use batteries unlike the trijicons and thus does not self adjust brightness like the trijicons do. The aimpoints also use batteries but they last up to 7 years where I have changed mine once in the 2 years I've had it. Not really a con but worth mentioning as its the only disadvantage I can see vs. the other two. All in all I couldent be happier with my choice. The reticle on the aimpoints is great for pinpoint shooting with the 1 moa center dot yet doesn't get lost or blend in with targets like the aimpoints. Again the design of the eotech puts the battery and electronics of the unit as close to the rifle as possible and the only thing in your line of sight is the protective aluminum hood protecting the glass. The only other option I would ever consider would be the trijicon tripower and that would only be if I thought I was never able to get batteries for mine again. Oh yea and when comparing the top models of three brands the eotech is the cheapest. As far as durability goes I've seen one that was shot right through both panes with a 9mm and still worked fine. I've had mine for years and it has never come off zero from when I first sighted it in. The things are almost unbreakable. An ACOG would be nice but for around 1600 dollars I'll stick with my eotech and go buy another gun instead. Hopefully this will help you make the decision that's right for you and you won't spend 6 months debating before you buy one like me :( ... show more

  • Great sight.
Style: XPS3-0
This is a great sight - a bit pricey, but the build and optics are high end. It’s easy to operate and zeroing was simple. As I haven’t had a chance to take it to the range yet, I used a laser bore sighter to zero the sight in for an AR at 25 yards and very little adjustment had to be made. The lens is crystal clear and the reticle at 1 MOA is sharp to the eye. The reticle brightness has several settings for your liking - I prefer a dim setting and it’s really low but still able to be seen during a bright day. Judging by my irons (zeroed @ 25yds), I should have no problems making shots out to 300yds. Since I haven’t used night vision since my time in the military, I can’t speak on how this sight would react with a night vision rig; however, from my 1st encounter, it is well worth the money... ... show more

  • This... is everything I was hoping for. Scope AND a work of art!!!
Style: XPS3-0
I'm new-ish to guns... but before the craze I purchased a Colt 6920LE M4... I already replaced my rear iron sight with the mbus by magpul. The second I got the scope out and put it on my rail, i tried my best to zero it using both my iron sights because they're supposed to co-witness together (took a few clicks for sure). same time the scope arrived, i had ordered what ended up being a faulty bore-sight (laser) arrive at the same time... well, since the boresight didn't work, i HAD to give it a few shots anyway. so, i took it out a few weeks later to finally fire it, and i hit a can at between 50-60 yards and left a 3-4 inch grouping at a box that the can was sitting on. i know it's not as perfect a "zero" as you can get with a lead sled or a few sandbags, but i was SHOCKED at how accurate it feels. and for anyone concerned with how hard it is to install... super easy. i can't compare this to any other red dots, as i haven't used any others. guns and scopes are just things that aren't something i believe in "saving" money when i purchase... and Eotech makes this SUCH an easy buy. NO BUYER'S REMORSE. others scopes i was considering were the Aimpoint micro t and a Trijicon RMR. anyway, if you have the money you couldn't possibly regret this scope! ... show more

  • Fake Airsoft EOTech Replica
Style: XPS3-0
I ordered what I thought would be a genuine black EOTech XPS3-0 and received a fake bronze airsoft replica. I tried to return this immediately, but am still waiting for a refund that will probably never come. Don’t get fooled and lose your hard earned money like me. Buyers beware!

  • Awesome Sight
Style: XPS3-0
This can be a hot button topic on Aimpont v EOTech but there goes (that said, I have used both) I bought this for use on my AR-15 and am very pleased that I did. It took a minute to get zeroed but I blame most of that on user error. Once I got it set though, it turned my rifle into a tack driver, and that was just using the cheap ammo. It sits a little closer to the bore axis than Aimpont sights (the comp M4) which I like, but that is just a personal preference. Also a preference thing, I like the ring around the reticle, makes finding the dot easier when getting used to the sight (do enough drills and you will just natural draw to the dot and don't I guess need the ring to fond the point of aim). The ring is also useful if for some reason you find yourself needing a 7 (i think) meter zero in an emergency situation. Having a single dot in for a point of aim is nice in my case, (with an AR15 there isn't a need to have graduated dots out to multiple hundreds of meters as the weapon looses its effectiveness) since the reticle does not become cluttered. Compared to other sights like the Aimpoints, the battery life isn't great, but its still lots of hours. In all its a great sight, and I am very glad I bought one, wouldn't trade if for the world. ... show more

  • The best Optic on the Market
Style: XPS3-0
This thing is amazing, just the feel of it in your hands. Pure perfection! I remember the first time I ever saw my dads AR and he had an original Eotech on it. It even said "for military or law enforcment use only" I fell in love with both but I always said I would get my own of each.
