I saw a YouTube video about this guitar. The reviewer is a down-to-earth guy, who is pretty blunt in his reviews. He liked it and that put the bee in my bonnet. Amazon ran a sale on it, so I had to try. The body is small, but the neck feels like that of a full-sized guitar. Honestly, I was wondering if would be like trying to play a mandolin, but it's like a regular guitar. The sound is full. For a small, relatively thin guitar, it has a rich bass response and the sound is balanced. I've got some pretty serious acoustic guitars. This may not be in that league, but it's surprisingly good and better than some of my mid-range guitars that I would actually take out of the house. The carbon fiber is pretty thick and feels durable. There's a lot of tone wood, bracing, grading of the spruce top, et al talk about acoustic guitars, but this thing sounds good. There are graphite and other carbon fiber guitars on the market, but at multiples of the cost of this guitar. I love the look. Enya calls the color "blue," but as the photos show, it's more aqua or sea foam green—a PLUS in my book. The neck shape is comfortable to play. The neck had just the right amount of relief for no buzzing. You get a tool for adjusting the neck in case it needs help in the future. The on-board effects are OK. It is cool the have reverb and other effects come out of a guitar that is not plugged in. I have played it thru' a guitar amp, but not thru' a PA. I downloaded the app and got it to pair with my phone thru' Bluetooth, but haven't experimented with it very much. The action is playable, but I'd like it a little lower. Time to sand the bridge saddle, but I haven't done it yet. The case is different from what a lot of YouTube reviewers show. It's a soft shell gig bag with an eternal pocket. Instead of a single strap that could be removed and used as a guitar strap with included adapters, it's got two sewn-on straps for classic backpack carry. This case was aroma-free. Some reviewers said their cases reeked. The manual says it comes with a leather strap. I got a woven one in a pukey color that isn't going on my aqua blue guitar. They are wise enough to add "subject to change" when listing the accessories. I was intrigued by the innovations that this guitar offered. I also got it for its size, weight and durability as a travel guitar. It has not disappointed in any of these areas. But it is the sound that is truly amazing from this little powerhouse. I did not want to travel with my expensive guitars, but I wanted a travel guitar. My brother said his "backpacker" guitar keeps cracking, so I wanted something that was more sturdy. I watched non-sponcered reviews online and found this gem. This guitar does not claim to be a $3,000 guitar, but for what I received, it's priceless. I ordered the acoustic, black matte. The guitar was packed and shipped with care. I received it 2 days after I ordered it. I discovered that the case was way beyond better, as I thought it would be more like a shiny plastic bag; however the case is a sturdy material, like a backpack, with padding all around and even a neck brace. The case also has a nice storage spot on the front. The guitar itself is beyond good. I wasn't sure how a plastic guitar made in China could be worth anything. This guitar is amazing, it is an adult size, but smaller for travel. The neck is a good size with neck width for finger-picking and easy to play. The intonation is spot on. The action, although a little high, is very playable. I also love the idea that the guitar is NOT wood because we travel to the beach a lot; wood doesn't like water, but this guitar can resist a lot of weather conditions. It also has excellent sound quaility, not like a spruce topped guitar, but lots of deep rich tones. I am a long time performing musician. This guitar is a little smaller than a full scale length guitar. Great for small hands....like mine. It has a premium Bone nut and Bridge. The frets are accurately placed by a computer and polished better than most any I have found in guitars costing 10x the price. This guitar appears to come in 2 varieties 1 that is just acoustic no pick up and 1 with a pickup and an effects control for Delay, Reverb etc. plus has a speaker in the guitar that resonates the piezo pick ups sound for louder than Just Acoustic when you play the guitar without an amp. I chose the passive Guitar Without the electronics so that I could add an under the bridge piezo direct to an output jack. I was surprised to find that it already had a hole drilled to add this pickup thru the bridge. THIS GUITAR APPEARS TO BE 100% CARBON FIBER ! Carbon Fiber is very pricey in this world and especially when guitars are made of it. ADVANTAGES; The guitar is light, yet Carbon Fiber is stronger than Steel. On this guitar the first thing I noticed was that it had a very big sound of a guitar that would be nearly full size. 2nd was how balanced the sound was from low to high frequencies. 3rd was how stable and how well it stayed in tune due to Not reacting like wood guitars to Temperature or Humidity. Adding a pick up to this was easy and you could add a preamp with a tuner if you wanted. I use outboard effect of my choice and also only like guitar electronics with Common size Batteries. I felt the model with the electronics would go thru its small batteries fast...but may be a nice guitar for a beginner. The effect on it are very limited but not too awful. I plan to end up with 3 of these guitars 1 that I put Nylon Strings on, 1 with Steel strings and 1 set up as a hollow body piezo/magnetic pickup jazz/blues guitar. GET ONE YOU WILL LOVE IT IF YOU HAVE AVERAGE OR SMALLER HANDS. ... show more
