First the pros: Well made, sturdy, compact, looks nice (if you like Les Paul shape guitars), very light, stays in tune extremely well, excellent my materials (carbon fiber), nice thin D shaped neck, great price (got mine on sale, around half retail), comes with a gig-bag and strap, sounds really good, and to my surprise, it has a feature I never imagined. I detuned mine a bit to try playing more lead on it and found that I could detune ALL the strings down 7 half-steps (E>A, etc) and it even works as a baritone detuned a whole step! It just might even go down a whole octave, I'm at 7 half steps so far. This is a blast to play and get some seriously dark and even sinister chords with or play bass. I'm no "chugger" but I am now, haha! This little thing can do that too. I cheaped out and bought one without pickup, so I will need to add one or mic it. In hindsight, I should have gotten one with a pickup, but I can add one. On the down side, I'm not finding anything I really don't like. I guess it could have better tuners, but these seem to work fine. Bone saddle and nut? No, but it has a zero fret for moderate action. Summary, amazing for the retail price and a serious no brainer on sale. I would definitely buy it again and highly recommend it for a knock around guitar or for kids or anyone. Quite versatile, robust, looks and sounds great, and it's great fun and affordable. Thank you Enya! Sail Away!

Pros - Great price, Sounds good, looks good, easy to play, great case, easy to travel with, really good customer service. Cons - None. There was one minor issue with intonation on third fret of low E string. Customer service sent 2 new saddles to resolve issue. Would I buy again - without hesitation. I play worship for a Monday night group which has 4 musicians. They say it has a good sound.

I’ve been playing guitar off and on for nearly 50 years and mostly on for the last 20 years. I own 6 acoustic guitars including my square neck resonator, as well as 3 electric guitars (including my hollow body jazz box), and have owned other guitars in the past including a $4,000 Santa Cruz acoustic and a ‘71 Les Paul gold top that I sold when I was a broke student in my early 20’s. My other primary acoustic-electric is a custom hand-made acoustic guitar with beautiful high-end tone woods and an expensive Anthem pickup system. So I had reasonable expectations for an acoustic-electric guitar that cost barely over $200 delivered to my front door. This guitar is super nice for what it is. It looks very cool, the one piece, cast design is very attractive, well-manufactured and should be extremely durable. Three times so far I’ve crammed it in crowded over-head airline luggage spaces (I should have but didn’t pack any clothes in the case around the headstock or over the strings or bridge) with no problems whatsoever. It is light and small and comfortable to hold and play. The case is very nice, too. The on-board effects are great and indeed work great even when the guitar is not plugged in, which is super fun. The guitar has a very good sound, especially considering the size and price. Plugged in it sounds great — nothing like a toy or “travel guitar” or whatnot. I knocked off one star because the guitar definitely needs a bit of set-up work. I changed the strings and slightly sanded down the underside of the bridge but the action is still too high (its so high that fretting the guitar or putting on a capo pulls it way sharp) and there are a few high frets causing string buzz. Since I don’t want to pay 50% of the cost of the guitar for a shop set up, I’ll bribe a guitar playing friend of mine who has the tools and the know-how. It’s playable as is, but it needs to be a bit better for me to want to play it more. If my buddy can get the action down a little while also getting rid of 90% of the string buzz, this is a guitar I’ll want to play a lot.

I did not want to travel with my expensive guitars, but I wanted a travel guitar. My brother said his "backpacker" guitar keeps cracking, so I wanted something that was more sturdy. I watched non-sponcered reviews online and found this gem. This guitar does not claim to be a $3,000 guitar, but for what I received, it's priceless. I ordered the acoustic, black matte. The guitar was packed and shipped with care. I received it 2 days after I ordered it. I discovered that the case was way beyond better, as I thought it would be more like a shiny plastic bag; however the case is a sturdy material, like a backpack, with padding all around and even a neck brace. The case also has a nice storage spot on the front. The guitar itself is beyond good. I wasn't sure how a plastic guitar made in China could be worth anything. This guitar is amazing, it is an adult size, but smaller for travel. The neck is a good size with neck width for finger-picking and easy to play. The intonation is spot on. The action, although a little high, is very playable. I also love the idea that the guitar is NOT wood because we travel to the beach a lot; wood doesn't like water, but this guitar can resist a lot of weather conditions. It also has excellent sound quaility, not like a spruce topped guitar, but lots of deep rich tones. I LOVE, LOVE LOVE, this enya and very happy with my purchase...it even had a 15% off coupon which sealed the deal. Thank you enya and Amazon.
