This guitar is truly amazing. Piezo pickup, built-in electronics with sound via internal speaker. Tone is good, onboard effects are novel & sound pretty good. It came with nice strings, but acoustic and way stiffer and heavier than I like. I replaced them with superlight electric strings and it plays well. I really like the zero fret. I've had 10 to 20 hours with it now and it's addictive. The more I play it, the more I like it. The small size in its case and carbon fiber build make it ideal for a travel guitar, which was what my purchase was all about. Even so, I find myself just picking it up at home, turning it on, and sitting on the couch with it. No regrets. The Bluetooth connection lets you stream songs, backing tracks, or rhythm things, which is incredibly useful for practice. The headphone connection lets you practice without annoying anyone. Plug it into your own amp if you want. 1. Had to swap out the charging cable it came with. It didn't seem to work consistently or fit right in the charging port. New cable, all good with a fast charger. 2. The app it came with is strange. The tuner is truly bizarre and the drum machine seems only to play on the device, not through the guitar speaker. If you're into that sort of thing, the effects work. Ditto the chord dictionary. The metronome works well and is useful.

I returned this guitar because the electronics were not reliable. The guitar turned off in the middle of a performance. Its been almost 3 weeks, and customer support will not notify me of the reception of the return nor when I will get my refund.

<h1>Before and After NEXG</h1> So, I'm over 60, and from time-to-time, I like to gig solo with my guitar, singing, mostly folk, but some rock. <strong>Before my NEXG my gig equipment was:</strong> <li> 80 lb Crate Acoustic Amp Taylor 314ce Sennheiser pro mic tablet stand (for music) microphone stand with phone mount various microphone and guitar cables No drum machine No metronome Limited effects (what my Crate amp could provide, very few settings)</li> <em>@ 30 mins to setup and make sure all the connections are right. Taylor settings to Crate settings all required to get that "perfect" sound for the venue.</em> <strong>Now it is:</strong> Enya NEXG which includes: <li>Metronome (on the app) Chord Library (on the app) Drum machine (on the app)(pretty decent really) Tuner (on the app)(the one on the NEXG itself is better) Unlimited effects to upload (on the app) NEXG Bluetooth Mic (came with the NEXG) Mic Stand Tablet Stand No cords or cables</ii> <em>@ 5 mins to setup...all settings preset and ready</em> <h1>Pros</h1> <li>The quality of the materials is top-notch. The guitar nob settings are easy to learn, but warning, there is complexity in managing the guitar, the mic, and the bluetooth speaker integration that require that you really get straight what mode you are in) The action is fast. The neck is optimal for small AND large hands. The price: this cost 1/4 of my Taylor 314ce and Crate system and Sennheiser pro mic</li> <h1>Cons</h1> <li>You need to be really solid on your fretting...fret BETWEEN the frets, not on them, or buzz will happen. The mic, bluetooth, and guitar all going at once requires that you volume each source seperately, but it's worth the effort once you do.</li> Is this right for you? If you gig, or want a guitar that you can go anywhere and spontaneously do a gig, the is the right one for you. It doesn't sound as rich or lush as my Taylor 314ce, but, for portability and ability to take a whole gig in a bag, there is nothing else like it out there.
