Con: So if your getting this for a guitar and do not have any idea how to play a keyboard or guitar hero was your worst enemy back in the day, I would suggest not to invest because most of my friends who have touched this that have played guitar all their lives hate it. Pro: if you are a person that loves all Instruments, loves to mess with technology and how it can make sounds and music more futuristic, love keyboards, but always wanted to mess with a guitar and make your own music. This is for you. This thing has it all when it comes to being your own band. The app is really cool and allows you to switch strumming sequences, pick between several different instruments and play the keyboard while playing the guitar with the frets at the same time. The speaker is loud and durable. It can be hooked up to an amp or headphones. The portability is another awesome factor. I enjoy taking this everywhere just for fun or serious friend jam sessions. It also has on the app songs you can download and play to like garage band and guitar hero. So kiddos can have fun to with it. All in all I find this worth every penny as long as you look into all the cool things it can do.

There is a lot of criticism for these electronic guitars - they are labeled as “toys” or as some kind of “crutch” for those who are unwilling to put in the time to learn to play a “real” guitar. Well, I very rarely take the time to write reviews, but I had to post this review because the Cyber-G is soothing the musical soul of this aging baby boomer with arthritic hands. I have been deeply depressed since losing the ability to play the 3 guitars and 2 baritone ukuleles that currently reside in my music closet. I knew I somehow had to get the sound of guitar strings back in my life to feel better. I bought a LiberLive last year, which helped a lot, but I was disappointed in the small number and variety of strum patterns available. The Cyber-G is like the big brother to the LiberLive that does everything bigger and better! The onboard 10 watt speaker sounds so good that an external amp is totally unnecessary and there is a huge variety of picking and strumming patterns along with the ability to play solo notes with the keyboard. And the Enya customer service is amazing! In my usual night owl fashion, I was playing the Cyber G at 4 am one morning when I discovered that only 8 of the 20 solo tones were available. The rest were greyed out in the app. So I emailed customer service at 4:30 am and to my surprise, they replied back right away! We then proceeded to have 3 or 4 email conversations back and forth in which they told me how to find the device ID of my instrument in the App, which then enabled them to unlock the tones within 15 minutes. So great guitar, great service - I highly recommend the Enya Cyber G!

The media could not be loaded. This is a really fun instrument! That's my bottom line! I don't really know how to describe it, but it's a new musical invention, and it'll be up to you to figure it out! That's not a cop-out! There are great videos showing the nuts and bolts and what buttons to press, but the whole idea of this instrument is to be different, while sounding good, which it does well! The Cyber-G starts up with a light show, and at any moment it may start making sounds, seemingly on its own, if you accidentally hit a button! If this happens, you're doing it right! There are two modes, but the sing-along mode was not my cup of tea. With it, you can simply "follow the lights" to play hit tunes that Enya has loaded into the phone app for this puppy. But I didn't want to do that, so I tried the other mode. It turns out, "the other mode," solo mode, is a portal, like a wide, gaping hole in the sky you can enter and use your wit, intuition and whatever know-how you possess, to make music! Any kind of music! Write a new song! Learn piano! Learn how to stay strictly in rhythm! I haven't mentioned this instrument, at the push of a button, plays drums! While there are only two drum beats on tap when disconnected, connecting to the app provides a whole set of drum/bass accompaniments, which are of a very high (think Beat Buddy) quality! These beats are MIDI-triggered WAV files (I'm guessing) which allows changing the tempo without changing the quality or frequency (notes) of the drum and bass sounds. It's amazing to have this so easily available. With two drum beats (continuously variable speed), a half dozen keyboard sounds and a variety of other sounds including guitar and piano, and with a very good sounding speaker, you'll quickly find yourself immersed in a new universe. If you're a writer, this thing will give you ideas! If you enjoy collaborating with friends, they'll muffle their chuckles (a toy!) once they hear the sounds that come out of this instrument. And, it does more! What? - oh I don't know! It does more though! Let us know! Grab one and make it yours!

The media could not be loaded. This is a blast and fun smart instrument to play. Its like a guitar but it has keyboard, drum and bass sounds. Its user-friendly design and pre-programmed song library makes it perfect for solo singers like me with little musical background or professional musicians want a total solution. There are a few built-in instrument sounds that can be played from detachable keyboard which other brand does not have and you can request more sounds from their customer support. I think this is an awesome gift for all ages who loves music but have little time to learn or professional solo singers who performs and likes to have a total solution. The song library includes popular tracks like "Hotel California," "Love Story," and "A Whole New World," among others. You can create your own song as well. The only cons is a bit pricey toe but it is truely worth it.
