There are separate EQ and reverb settings for the mic in the App. The singing experience is drastically enhanced by the mic system. This guitar from the future is by far best in class when it come to sound, playability, features, and ease of use. The hardware and electronics are excellent. The strings are set up just right. It is a bit small for me (I'm a big 6'4" guy) but still feels great. It's perfect for teenagers and normal sized people. I've had hours of fun with the built-in sounds, that project and feel like a real acoustic guitar. Close your eyes and barely tell the difference. That alone would be enough, but this is a "smart" guitar full of onboard goodies. The built-in tuner is super convenient. Effects like reverb, delay, chorus, EQ, and more are excellent. That would be very generous, but there is even more... a great drum machine with all kinds of styles... instant jam session! And... there is a first class looper that is one of the best I've used. You can record yourself, with or without drum, then add another part, making this a one person band. Oddly enough, I'm not done bragging on this... It has a mic input so you can sing through the 50 watt full range built-in amp along with your guitar. It can get loud! This is a perfect busking rig. For the quality and features I don't know how Enya does it, but they have managed to build quality instruments at a great value. Almost forgot... the wireless footswitch allows you to switch sounds or stop/start drums. Everything plus the kitchen sink. It does it all.

I used to have a 3k rainsong that got stolen, and I have wanted a replacement for a very long time. I finally started looking and was intrigued by the good reviews this guitar was getting and I really expected it to be too good to be true as it is less than a third what I paid for my last graphite guitar. But let me say this thing is the real deal!!! I am a professional musician and I play worship music for church weekly as well as record music in my studio. I also play Irish traditional music and mix with some fantastic musicians. I have been playing guitar for 30 years and have played thousands of different guitars. This is one of the best acoustic guitars I have ever played. The electronics are top notch. The resonance due to the lack of inside bracing and the gap between the soundboard and neck really pay off. I was worried because the body is a little smaller than many full size acoustic guitars and I thought it wouldn’t have the full bass sound I wanted it to have, but the low notes on this thing just sing so perfect. I keep my acoustic tuned to D instead of E and that low D note is sooooo nice on this guitar. The neck is the smoothest I have ever played and just feels perfect! The sound hole being close to my ears also helps so much! The mids and highs resonate so evenly and balance perfect with the rich bass tones. The cool effects included are pretty cool acoustically, although they sound a tiny bit tinny when used acoustically. When plugged in they are superb! The pickups and mic on this guitar are really great and give it a fantastically rich sound when plugged in. The case is really nice, and I love having a hard shell case that still has backpack straps. Only things I wasn’t super happy about was that it has no internal tuner, and I didn’t really care for the strap it came with… it was adequate, just not what I like. The cable is adequate as well, but nothing special. I use the line 6 relay g10s wireless setup, and I got this really nice black guitar stand the Cooperstand Ecco-G ABS stand that folds up small enough to fit in the headstock section of the guitar case without touching the headstock. It holds the guitar really well. Everyone who sees this guitar is very impressed, but the ones who are most impressed are every other guitar player that tries it out! The guitar is not nearly as light as my rain song was, but it seemed to be built extremely durable and has some internal metal parts like inside the neck and some serious electronics that add to the weight. It isn’t so heavy that it tires me in any way when playing with it strapped on, just a tiny bit heavier that I expected. If you are wondering if you should roll the dice on this thing, I say go for it! You will never find a better guitar anywhere near this price range!

At first I didn’t get it. I watched some review on YouTube and the NEXG 2 get glowing reviews..but to me the neck felt so stiff compared to my Fenders. I thought, maybe these YouTubers were getting free guitars for good reviews. I was seriously going to return it. This guitar is no way perfect, I will explain below, but it gets 5 stars anyways, because what it did for me outweighs all of its flaws. Having the looper, guitar, tones, tuner, and metronome all built in is amazing. And it sounds great, and the volume is loud, batteries last long. So the thing that it did for me that gave it 5 stars was the onboard metronome and drums, my rhythm has GREATLY improved! This is the ultimate practice guitar. Now for the negatives. - Neck dots are small, I wish they were on the fretboard. - If you do not have the charger stand, connecting a USB C to charge it is pretty tight. I purchased a right angle USB C adapter so it’s easier to get to the port. - If I plug the USB C into my computer to record…if I record the metronome, then over lay it with the drum track, the beats do not sync and are slightly off. I found this really weird, because they are coming from the same device. - Strings were to thick, I had to go down to 8’s. Also changing strings are bit of a pain, there is the rubber stoppers in the saddle you have to use. I can’t explain it, but it’s weird. - I don’t know when it happens, I think it’s a specific combination of Looper + drum track, the guitar loses its sound. I have to turn it off then back on, then it works again. This happens several times. Or it could just be a bug….but that’s usually when I notice the problem. When this happens this drives me nuts. I know this is a Smart Guitar and it will probably break in a few years, but honestly as soon as it breaks I’m going to buy it again. It has become my go to practice guitar and the first guitar I reach for. That’s so crazy considering how many expensive guitars I have. I would say, if you buy it, give a few weeks instead of comparing it to your guitars. I don’t think of it as a guitar to replace my other guitars, but instead a guitar to practice with and write songs.
