Very simple to install in existing recessed cans. The only drawback is that the fixture’s outer diameter is smaller than the original opening, so you’ll need to grab some goof rings for a proper fit. Once I had those, I swapped out all 12 lights in under an hour. The selector switch is a great bonus, letting you choose the light temperature you want—soft white, daylight, and more. ... show more

Bought an older home with terribly yellowed light frames and old flood bulbs. These were almost as simple as screwing a light bulb into the old recessed cans. Just need to line up side spring loaded brackets correctly. If you need more than one in a room try the different light settings before you install all of them. Works well with dimmer switches. I really wanted to love these. The multiple color options are great and they absolutely were easy to install. However, they have some major cons and I found them to be a huge disappointment. They are a slightly too small - just a few millimeters wider and they would fully cover the hole from my old cans. I had to buy a separate trim piece which does not look great. Also, they are recessed instead of flat and when they are on they actually look like the old cans. Just makes them look cheap. They also don't dim as well as the LED bulbs I had in the can lights. The biggest problem is that they simply WILL NOT stay in my ceiling. Every time I walk into a room another light has fallen out of place. I have to get a ladder and put it back in. This is obviously no way to live, particularly when the heat from my attic is seeping into my bedroom, so I'm going to have to replace all the lights I just replaced yet again.
