These fit perfectly in a 2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid Advance. There is an initial gasoline like smell in the automobile but it is not very strong & goes away after a few days. The engine & cabin air filters were relatively easy to install and saved me a lot of money versus letting the dealership do it. The quality seems fine so I do not expect for there to be issues. 5 stars & recommended.

This is an air and cabin filter combo so you can change both filters at the same time. They come packed together in the same box and individually plastic wrapped. The first thing I noticed after taking the filters out of the box was a strong petroleum odor. After unwrapping the filters, the air filter reeked of it, and that was probably from the plastic or rubber gasket or something in the manufacturing process. The cabin filter seemed to have either absorbed some of that odor or the media used has that smell, or it too had the same manufacturing process issue. I was concerned that my cabin would smell like gasoline after it was installed, so I left it outside hoping the smell would dissipate. Even after leaving it outside for a week, it still smelled like gasoline, although a bit fainter. This is actually the second combo that I tried that had the same issue. The other set of filters came from a different seller, but I think the filters came from the same manufacturer. Because of the smell, I decided to only replace the air filter, since that odor should not be able to come into the cabin. When I removed my OEM filter, the new filter has the same dimensions and it fit perfectly into my 2019 Acura MDX. The gasket is made from a thick plastic with a rubber gasket surround. Compared to the OEM filter, the dimensions and cutouts are the same. The new cabin filter seems to be sturdier, as it was more rigid and thicker than the OEM filter. The filter media has a dark gray color, which usually means embedded with activated charcoal to absorb odors, but as I mentioned before it does have a gasoline odor to it, so I did not install it. I was concerned about the strong petroleum odor coming from the air filter, but it doesn’t seem to affect performance. The cabin filter is a different story, since no one will enjoy having that kind of smell in their cabin. The price for both of these filters seem reasonable until you figure out you can only use one of them. I would probably avoid this combo until the odor issue has been fixed.
