This is my second Encased belt clip phone case. The first one worked so well, it was obvious choice when I purchased new phone. Very durable. Works as described. If you’re like me and need to attach things to you so you don’t set them down and walk off, this belt clip is perfect.

    • Only lasted 3 months, but they replaced it for free
The clip holding the phone broke after about 3 months of use. I really like it so I was glad when they replaced it for free. I give them 5 stars for customer service and replacing it for free, but take away a star because I really feel it should have lasted longer. We'll see if the new one does.

    • Weak design (top clip), doesn't last long
I'm ordering my third one now, as these don't last long at all, but I'm not aware of anything better on the market. The previous two both had the clip on the top break (not where it hinges, but where it thins-down at the corner), and just due to normal usage, no drops/hits/etc. I'll have to see if I can add some epoxy on this next one to hopefully shore-up the obvious weak spot in the design. An earlier review (Kosfather) talked about modifications needed, I also dremeled-away some of the lower two brackets (B in their review picture), though for me it wasn't because of the screen but because of the Anker 521 Magnetic Battery, which wouldn't stay properly-seated due to the size of those brackets, which are much larger than needed to hold the phone. The clip that breaks is on the opposite end, so my modification had no effect on the brackets (and my first one wasn't modified but lasted about as long as this second one). ... show more

This item was exactly what I was looking for but, it broke within a week of use with light usage. For the price I expected more durability. I definitely would not recommend if your using daily and riding a motorcycle or bicycles. Can loose you phone easily. My last one from Otterbox lasted me 5 years. Otterbox unfortunately no longer have one to fit my phone model, they discontinued the defender series and the new one does not have a holster that fits the case! ... show more

Good quality case that works with the Apple iPhone 12 mini clear case with 3 significant flaws that are all addressed with 5-10 minutes of filing and sanding. (See picture) A.(Red) If the phone is inadvertently placed in a certain way the buttons in both sides are held down and an SOS/911 call is made... fun. The case is modified in the picture to solve this issue. B.(Blue) The iPhone 12 software utilizes the entire screen and the retention knobs block the use of touch screen “button” in the bottom corners of the phone. Simply file these flush to resolve this issue and there still enough of an indent to securely and safely retain the phone. C.(Yellow)The clip protrudes more than 2 centimeters out from the profile of the phone . I assume this was designed with the intention to place the bulk of the phone lower on the waist band and give you leverage when unclipping it. This is annoying and tends to jab you in the belly. Trim it flush to the metal spring and sand to round the contour. Now it is a great case. ... show more
