The winder is great. Game changer actually when I’m putting embroidery thread on the spools. The stickers tend to not stick great so I have the sticker on one side and I’ve still written in marker on the other side as a backup. The bock itself is the perfect size for my needs. I have a love hate relationship with the moveable slots. It is nice to make the box how I want it depending on each project, however they also fall out easily. When I forget to close the lid while I’m working, if my cat or I accidentally knock it off the table I’m using, not only do the treads fall out as one would expect, but those walls do as well…now I have even more to clean up.

I was super excited to get this set because of all of the high ratings. Sadly, I don’t know what that’s about. The box itself is odd in its construction. I don’t understand why the four sides of the box are made up of a thicker and more durable plastic than the lid and the bottom. The hinges are quite flimsy, and I’m not confident that these are going to last very long before snapping off. I thought that the thread winder was going to be handy. It’s notched so that you can mount it on the edge of the box, which is supposed to act as a base while you wind your thread, but I find the set up very awkward and favor winding the thread on the Bobbin cards by hand. The Bob and cards are definitely handy, as are the dividers that allow you to customize the size of your compartments. I know this wasn’t an expensive buy but honestly, I did expect a little better.

This is a great way to organize floss. It comes with everything you need at a decent price. It would be a 5-star EXCEPT the bobbin winder is advertised to be used on the plastic case and is very unstable if done this way. HOWEVER, there is a workaround. The box the package came in is the perfect width for the winder. You can take a piece of it and jerry-rig a set-up so you can lose yourself in winding your floss.

The media could not be loaded. My video shows me using this organizer for embroidery floss, but I have several others that I use for other craft items. My husband has one in the garage to organize different grommets and such. Sturdy, easy to use. Compartments can be adjusted to fit the size you need. Please let me know if you have any questions.
