I was specifically looking for a box this size with a FLAT top (so I can stack it with like organizer boxes) and this delivers. The inner partitions do not move, it opens and closes well. I like the semi-clear look which lets you see inside the box for the colors you use. I chose this one over the boxes that come with a thread wider - which really is completely useless - no need to pay extra for that, but the included 50-bobbins are coated paper are fit perfectly inside and are just want I wanted. A good, inexpensive embroidery floss organizer. (If you are trying to collect all DMC threads, you will need at least five of these boxes.) They show using beads for this; beads are NOT a good choice. The wells are too deep and the lid, while it closes well, isn't secured enough (you want a screw top or a latch for beads). This is GREAT for embroidery and other crafts, just not beads.

This embroidery case holder is great! I can see the colors I have without having to open it. This container holds many bobbins that keep my thread from tangling. I am able to take this in the car, on any trip it’s built very durable.

I didn't really have a sense of what to expect in a floss storage product, but I wasn't interested in the winder things that come with some options. I don't need more plastic gadgets and I can wind my own floss, thank you very much! This box and the "bobbins" do the job for a good price. The box is not super sturdy (though it latches fine and is overall ok) and the bobbins are made of cardboard. I am not objecting, since I didn't pay a lot for the product. But if you want something that feels substantial, maybe another choice would work better. One more thing--I had many colors of floss all in kind of a mess. When I straightened them up and put them on individual bobbins, I just about maxed out the bobbins and compartments. I didn't realize I had so many colors! Anyway, mostly happy with this solution.

I bought many of these same style boxes years ago to store my floss in. Since then I've accumulated lots more floss and wanted to find the same type box since I really like them. This one is mostly the same and I was glad to see made in the USA. It works well, same kind of plastic. The only issue which isn't a deal breaker is the lid snaps closed but is a bit on the loose side and unlike my older ones which were tighter, it may be disastrous if I were to drop the box and the lid popped open and caused all my floss bobbins to fall out. Hopefully that won't happen but there's times when I toss the boxes around and not sure if that would happen. Other than that they're good boxes. I will get use out of them.

these work great snap shut...fixed spaces( I like that) holds about 100-125 floss cards filled with floss came with a few floss bobbins.. i had filled up 5 boxes and needed more and they worked great..they are plastic but durable easy to stack on one another or will stand on the back upright very well overall good choice and great price

This is made of thick durable plastic. The lid closes and opens easily. It holds the DMC bobbin threader and allows you to turn it without the container wiggling at all. I chose it because at it slightly higher price it was worth it since it showed it was made of the USA. The sticker on the bottom also says made in the USA. Unfortunately there is a crack in the back corner of the lid. It does not affect The opening and closing, Aunt it stays together not splitting more unless you pull it apart. I'm going to do just that and stick a little super glue in there. Considering it was packed in with books, I do not know where the fault lies and it's easily repairable. I am very happy with it and I will buy another. Have now bought a two pack as well. Have all I need as of now. The two pack arrived in perfect condition And are just as well made as the single. Very happy and very satisfied
