I was hesitant to spend this much on a coffee mug, but after using the Ember Mug 2 for several weeks, I can honestly say it’s one of those products that’s hard to live without once you’ve experienced it. *update* !! The mug still works awesome and I’m super happy with it…PLUS…I discovered that my yeti travel cover fits in it!!! This extends the 80 mins of heat to MOST OF THE DAY (at 120F) if you can get ahold of a travel lid then you’ll love it even more!!! I tried out Ember, Nextmug and a coffee cup warmer. I chose Ember and here's why: (For context I am a busy mom and I drink one cup of coffee per day. I tend to sip on that cup all morning long. I like to bring it around the house with me, often settling in one area for long periods (like to do a craft or do computer). I chose the Ember mug and here's why not the others: 1) The warmer- I couldn't bring the mug around the house with me, it had to always stay on the warmer. Also, as I drank the coffee down, it got hotter and hotter (less to heat). I had to keep turning the warmer down. Twice I forgot I left the warmer on and left the house and it stayed on all day. The warmer was also very hard to clean if you got a ring on it because it gets baked on. Literally I could not get the ring stain off. Lastly, the coffee tastes super gross after a few hours. Not sure why...but the heat from the bottom does something to it. 2) Nextmug - I didn't like the shape of the mug. It looks deep but actually half of the mug is the heating element so it's not deep. Mine kept shutting off randomly, like within 10 mins of setting it, maybe it was defective? It also seemed to get hotter as the liquid became less like the warmer did. 3) Ember - immediately I could see the temp on the app as soon as the liquid hit the cup, which I thought was NEAT! It turns its self on automatically when the coffee is put in it and goes to the last setting you set it at. It keeps it at that exact temperature regardless of how much is left in the cup (yay!). Thus it never overheats the coffee and the coffee stays delicious. I can take it all around the house and it is sturdy, looks cool and is nice and deep. It does shut off a lot sooner (from inactivity) than others, BUT it heats back up again surprisingly quick, so I'll take it. Others have voiced connectivity issues. I have an iphone14 pro and it hasn't had any trouble yet, but I just got it. For the record I was hoping I could control it via the app even when I wasn't home (like turn it on and off remotely) but it doesn't work that way. Since it's bluetooth and not wifi controlled you have to be near it for it to work. Good luck friends!

Had an Ember previously before they put ceramic lining inside. Loved it but bottom flaked off because of spoon. Purchased another brand and was very disappointed. Went back to Ember because of ceramic lining. Pricey but worth it. Highly recommend.

I ordered two of these mugs. One of them the box was open, and the mug wouldn’t charge. I returned that, but there was no way to get a replacement mug so I was given the option of just to return. For some reason Amazon didn’t give me the full value of the return so I called them and they gave me an Amazon credit that I could only use with Amazon warehouse products. Not sure why since the box was opened when I received it. I did replace that mug, it is working, for now . The second mug, that I ordered originally, stopped working so I emailed Ember (because there’s no customer service phone number). After 4 back-and-forth emails with them, they finally sent me a long list of questions that they could’ve done in the beginning; so I just returned the second mug on Amazon again. This time they gave me the full value of it…. Not sure why it was different from the first return. The first replacement mug that I received for the one that was not charging is working properly, but I don’t trust it and there’s only a 30 day window to return. Had Ember had a customer service phone number it would’ve been much better. I could’ve answered all their questions and the Warranty would’ve been good. I do not recommend this product. I’m also disappointed with Amazon for not refunding the full amount for the first mug that the box was opened and wasn’t charging. Now I have a hidden credit of $12 that will only appear when I eventually order a product from Amazon that is shipped from their warehouse….. very frustrating!

I love this mug, and the idea is great. However if you are not trying to keep an already hot drink warm, this isn't the right product for you. My intention was to warm a drink that has cooled, as well as to brew tea in it. I poured a room temperature bottle of water into it and turned it on, and it took an hour to heat the water to 145F. You also need to put a lid on it if you intend to heat a drink from room temperature as it loses a lot of heat from being open on top. You can brew tea in the cup, but in my opinion it heats the water too slow to be useful for that. Leaving 4 stars because it does work exactly as advertised, I just used it for something it really isn't designed for.

This product is quite impressive. While on the charger it will keep your beverage HOT all day. Off of the charger it keeps it HOT for 1 hr. While on the charger, it will heat up your beverage to HOT rather quickly. While off of the charger it takes way too long to do so. The product itself is amazing and I really recommend it for everyone who takes their time drinking and enjoying tea or coffee. I got this for my wife for Christmas because she constantly has to microwave her coffee because we have 5 children … but mainly because the 19 month old is demanding lol. I just regret getting a 10oz. I didn’t realize how tiny 10oz is because I assumed most mugs are 8oz. Wrong! lol. I am exchanging this for the 14oz. With the 10oz, once you put the coffee there’s hardly room for creamer and sugar (when it comes to a real coffee drinker). I gave it 5 stars because the product works excellently. The app is very impressive and fun (to me). I love to watch on the app how the T° of the coffee goes down immediately after pouring in creamer. I love it. You can customize the color code of the light on the mug and name the mug in the app. You can also set the T° you want your beverage to be going forward (set it and forget it). It’s awesome. I watched a YouTube video about the mug and the review said they don’t think it’s worth the $ although the product worked really well. That’s kind of an oxymoron. I think you’re getting what you pay for and in a good way. Your beverage literally stays HOT or (if you want) warm until the very last drop. I don’t often drink coffee or even tea, but when I do it’s Dos Equis lol jk… when’s I do I can’t stand where the last few sips are cold. I want to get one for myself except I hardly drink tea or coffee, just to show you how great the product is. I think the 10oz is too tiny. 10oz might not be as necessary to be in the size of a tech mug since it’s not much to begin with and can be finished rather quickly (although my wife still appreciates it in her lifestyle). For the real tea and coffee drinkers out there I highly recommend this product, but the largest versions.
