Bought this juicer for my elder son who is school going as doctor suggested us to give carrot juice on daily basis for healthy eyes. Searched for so many juicers not sure about the other brands. This Elite gourmet brand is known to me earlier I brought rice cooker of this brand which is quite good. So with out any doubt I ordered it on some deal price. From the day I got this I was using it daily for extracting carrots , apple , beets and other veggies. The powerful high torque and low speed motor results in extracting more juice and less wastage which is good to have.Another best thing is I have used the pulp in other kind of dishes like curries, carrot cake, cookies and in salads etc.,So I don’t see any wastage. Read in so many articles that the cold pressed masticating slow juicers are efficient and gives good nutrient juice with less speed. Good build quality and handsfree use which is good. 5.2 inches of XL feeding chute is available to allow large cut fruits and veggies for extracting the juice. Two containers are given one is collecting the juice and the other one is for collecting the pulp. It occupies less space in kitchen counter top because of its tall design. It is BPA free and washing the juicer parts is easy too. I recommend for those who are looking for good kind of slow juicers. ... show more

Ordered this as my first juicer and I didn't want to spend too much because I wasn't sure if I was going to use it a lot. So far it works fine and cleanup is easy since it is just 3 pieces that you have to hand wash since it is just all plastic. It does have a 200w motor and I was able to juice a whole peeled Valencia Orange without cutting it in half. As far as juicing quality, it takes a lot of the juice out and the pulp is still moist but I wasn't able to squeeze much juice out of it so it seems like it has taken most of the juice out. It handles celery just fine. Also a note is after you put your last fruit or vegetable in, you have to let it run for about a minute or so to get the rest of the fruit pushed through since there is only a small surface area for it to get juiced. There is quite a bit of pulp so a strainer is recommended if you don't like it. A gripe I have with it is the slowness of how it process fruits and vegetables. Since it is only a small portion of the machine that actually juices, it takes a little bit longer as opposed to expensive ones where theres more juicing area. A second con I have is the pulp side since it pushes pulp slowly and more fibrous fruits/vegetables like celery it doesn't push that pulp out as well and you have to pull it out when cleaning or if you have more things to juice. My last con is the auger design where I think the auger could be bigger or the chute can be a little more narrow since sometimes some fruit/vegetable get stuck on the side and never get processed. In the end i think this is a good first juicer. It may be better to spend a little bit more depending on your budget but this does what I need it to do. ... show more

I have tried two more juicers after my initial purchase of this juicer ($300 one and a $600 Hurom). This machine did a much better job than both so I retuned those and got a second one for our weekend home. The issues reviews list for this machine (clogging with celery, slightly wet pulp, pulp sometimes accumulating under the auger if doing batch juicing) also exist in $300 and $600 machines. The trick is to chop the celery into small pieces to avoid clogging and the pulp is actually much more dry than Hurom. This machine is also mold-proof in that there is no hard to clean section in the container that catches and accumulates sneaky leaks (Hurom had this issue). I really enjoyed the juicer while it was working! It was quick at juicing carrots, ginger, turmeric, and other vegetables. However, after about 50 uses, it stopped functioning properly—the vegetables no longer move from the blades, and the extracted produce still contains a lot of juice. I guess it’s time to throw it away. I’m also uncertain whether I should have purchased an insurance plan or if the policy would have covered this kind of issue. ... show more

I recently bought it about 2 weeks ago, it surprised me with quality, I have ordered brand and use it for a week after that it didn’t press juice, It just passed out from it but this one for 2 weeks given same amount of juice, Great extraction.
