  • Works very well for the size and price
Size: Compact Color: Black
It's a good little juicer. Much like most Dash products it is made and designed well, with few faults. It takes harder fruits, vegetables, and leafy greens with aplomb. The juice is always very fresh and vibrant, it's also filtered well, leaving very little pulp behind. So far I have juiced wheatgrass, kale, apples, oranges, spinach, ginger, strawberries and cucumbers. Probably more but those are the ones I can think of the top of my head. I have also used the frozen attachment with mixed fruits and mostly bananas. It turns them into a soft-serve-like consistency, and is great when your craving something like ice cream but are trying to avoid the calories, or in my case, too much dairy. Cleaning has been very easy. I understand some people had some problems, I must simple say to all, read the manual. Everything comes apart for easy cleaning, and they provide a brush to help. It's not clear as to whether or not you can put them into the dishwasher, however it does not take long to hand wash. So I overall that's fine. Overall it's good! I do have a couple annoying things about it though. First, it does not like anything that is too soft. It simple won't separate the pulp and cloggs. It does also state this in the manual, but I want to make sure I mentioned it too, because many slow juicers have the same problem with softer foods. Oranges, peaches, mango, kiwin, etc... Can clog very easily. You have to alternate small amounts of them with larger amount of hard food like apple, carrots, and such. Rule of thumb is watching your fiber and starch content. Starchy items like mango and kiwin will clog, where as fiberous items like ginger and kale will move through no problem. I also believe this is only as much of a problem because there is no way to bypass the silicone "pressure plug". It's there to ensure your getting the most juice, but when using softer fruits and vegetables, it prevents the pulp from exiting the machine. If they added a bypass plug or a softer plug of sorts, it would most likely fix the problem. I would say to leave it un-plugged, and that actually does help, but then it leaks juice. It's isn't a huge deal, but know that all slow juicers like harder foods. Second, I also believe it would clogg less if the actual filter screen was larger. Due to it being only a single area, it can get backed up slightly. Again this is only a problem when using softer fruits and veg, but I felt I should make a note. Third and final complaint is that when using the forzen fruit "screen", it holds a lot of the fruit in. I again because it's due to the firm pressure plug. But the actual chamber design can hold the fruit too. It's not a problem when making a bowl of something, but if you want a small amount you will spend most of the time cleaning it out of the machine. But also, this is a common complaint with every frozen fruit maker I've used, so I want surprised Over all it's good machine! It is just small, and has it's limits, so don't expect an Omega, Hurom, or Kuvings. It's does a fine job and is plenty powerful for it's size! ... show more

  • Good for Small batches only
Size: Compact Color: Graphite
This machine is good for small batches only as it is quite small. I live in a tiny house and knew this when I purchased it. It takes up very little space which is perfect for my tiny kitchen. The produce needs to be cut into small pieces, but the prep time is with it for its small footprint. Easy to take apart to clean. ... show more

Great for small spaces, easy to clean and easy to use. It’s simple and for those who don’t juice a ton.

  • Good for the price and the size with a few issues
Size: Compact Color: Graphite
I just got this today so I've only really tested it once so I may add to this review a little later on. Now to start, for the price and the size this is a fantastic little juicer. Yes you could probably get one that is slightly more powerful and can handle larger amounts of juice and produce with a larger pulp spout than this one has for slightly more money (or less if you got a centrifugal juicer). I had a fair amount of difficulty with it getting clogged when I juiced pineapple and celery, specifically. It didn't seem to have any problem with carrots, apples, kale, and just a little bit of trouble with ginger. So if you tend to stick with the more fibrous fruits and veggies that's probably going to continue to be a hassle and I feel like it might put more wear on the engine and other parts so it might not last as long in which case a full size masticating juicer might be better. That being said, I took the time and juiced about a half a gallon of juice using the above mentioned produce and can say it went pretty quickly for a masticating juicer. More than anything, this juicer's appeal comes in its footprint. It is incredibly small. Much smaller than other juicers I have seen and used. It is slightly taller than a roll of paper towels and not even as wide as a full roll. If you were looking to juice on a budget or are trying juicing at home for the first time and have limited space, this is a very good option. Pros: small footprint and works for small-ish batches of juice before overheating. (I made a half of a gallon -which is a decent amount- before I felt like it needed a break.) Cons: pulp spout gets clogged relatively easily and is not as easy to clean as I would like. I also had a little bit of difficulty putting it back together properly as you have to twist and lock the top part onto the motor and sometimes it takes a few attempts. Overall, has a budget masticating juicer I found that this is probably one of the better options especially if you're looking at getting one under $100 and just juice casually. Now, if you have the budget to spend just a little bit more and counter space isn't an issue I would suggest a full sized juicer as that one would probably last a little bit longer depending on how often you use it It would probably only set you back another $50 or so. (Not sure how to link it but the ones by Aioken are pretty good and currently on sale for Christmas.) All that being said, I'm pretty happy with my purchase as of right now. Like I said, I will update the review in a month or so depending on how it goes. :) ... show more
