  • Quality, durability and longevity make them worth it!
As an owner of the Ruckus Bluetooth I’m excited for the QOL upgrades this Rumble version offers. I’ve abused the Ruckus to the point that I just recently tore an earbud after 2+ years which is how I stumbled upon these gems - because they have REPLACEABLE EAR BUDS! They are also interchangeable to match the preference/occasion. For me this justifies the higher price point, but wait there’s more. Here’s what I love about these: 1. Did I mention replaceable/interchangeable earbuds? 2. The sound quality is noticeably clearer and registers the bass much better which is probably due to having twice as many speakers in nearly the same amount of space (not twice as expensive though which is a definite plus). 3. They hang on the ear so are less likely to catch on things or slide around when you’re working, leaning over and etc. 4. Comes with alternate trimming pieces for customization/personalization. 5. The volume/power button is raised making it easier to power on/off as well as adjust volume and answer calls etc. 6. Durability. Full disclosure I’ve yet to use these anywhere near the same extent as I have my Ruckus but they feel familiar and if anything seem slightly hardier. 7. Noise reduction. I can’t state enough how valuable it is to be able to block out the noise so as not to have to raise the volume of whatever you’re listening too in order to hear it, thus protecting your ears. 8. Versatility. I use these for yard work, exercise, Zoom meetings, sleep (I work nights sometimes so need to sleep during the day and can’t even hear my four kids), shooting, and hands free phone calls. 9. Battery life! 20hrs between charges, are you kidding me? This is incredible. 10. The case is pretty swanky and big enough to easily accommodate. Here’s my concerns: 1. Price. I think it’s crazy that I’m spending this much money on earbuds but when you look at the field, that’s just the world we live in and it’s across the board. So for me it comes down to what do I want for my money? I want quality, durability and longevity - Rumble hits all those marks for me (I mean, replaceable earbuds!) and are a good $20+ less expensive than anything else I would consider. 2. The waterproofing cover for the charging port. Admittedly, I was skeptical about the Ruckus cover too but it’s held up just fine. This one feels slightly less durable though and is crowding the charging port slightly so I’m concerned it will eventually tear but it’s too soon to know, so I’m willing to concede Elign knows what they’re doing and it will hold up. 🤞 Hopefully this is helpful to anyone looking into these and for those of us that already have the Ruckus, this is a no brainer upgrade. Enjoy! ... show more

  • Quality and durability
I own a aerial construction business and we constantly have loud noises around us. I purchase ruckus series for all of my employees because it is a much easier way to communicate hands free. We have tried the radio and ear piece route, but miscommunication was all too prevalent. But to this product, having used the other model I decided I would like to see how this set worked. The sound quality remained, if not improved. The sound dampening kept my ear from ringing at the end of the day and still allowed me to communicate fluidly with my guys. But possibly the most impressive part was while cleaning up at the end of the day, I had my set of rumbles hanging on my neck, and they were pulled off by some mule tape I was tossing in the truck. The headphone flew roughly 10ft away and landed in the street, before I could grab the headset a 1ton drove right over the top. Expecting them to be destroyed, the only issue was the yellow trim piece was cracked off and some minor cosmetic indents on the plastic housing. Everything else worked perfectly. ... show more

  • Great, but limited lifespan
First off, I love these earbuds. I wear them to sleep because hubby snores and I'm a light sleeper. Pros: Replaceable tips, the replacement tips are inexpensive, easy to connect with Bluetooth, easy to use, clear sound, microphone for calls, simple interface, decent background noise blocking, lightweight, long battery life, quick charging. Hands down the best earbuds I've ever used, the fact that they are also plugs is a HUGE bonus. Regular earbuds won't stay in my ears, I've tried dozens, even the over-the-ear types. There was one J-lab type that stayed in, but they've been discontinued so I was elated when I discovered the earplug style. Cons: Literally the only issue I've had with ANY Elgin product is the durability. I'm not rough on things, I don't work in a physically demanding job, I'm not outdoors in dust, etc. But it seems like every Elgin product I've used has a lifespan of a right at a year of daily use. I've bought 7 different pairs (Ruckus wired & wireless, Rumble, Ruckus Discord) over the last 5 years. I even have a wired pair of Ruckus that I keep in storage for backup since I've had durability issues. These Rumbles I bought in August of 2024. The power button started getting hard to press a couple of weeks ago, I had to use a pointer just about the size of the button itself to turn them on. Now they will not charge or turn on. That is the ONLY thing keeping me from giving these a 5-star rating. I know others have had longer usage from these items, and don't get me wrong, they're great, but a $100 pair of earbuds should last more than a year, even with daily use. Just something to be aware of. I will continue to buy them, until/unless I find a comparable item with a better lifespan. ... show more
