They muffle the shots perfectly and the microphone works so well that you can have a full conversation with others at the range. I was able to coach my son easily while both of our ears were well protected. I was even more impressed that when I returned home, I could hear my children from my upstairs bedroom talking and make out the conversation, but when i removed them I couldn't hear them talking at all. We purchased two pairs of the Walker’s Razor Slim Ultra Low Profile Compact — one for me and one for my husband — and used them during a very loud Monster Jam event. We couldn’t be happier with how well they performed. The sound reduction was excellent and made the event enjoyable without feeling overwhelming. They’re very comfortable to wear for extended periods and feel durable and well-made, not flimsy at all. I also like the slim profile since they don’t feel bulky or heavy and the foldable feature! I personally haven’t tried the Bluetooth features yet, but my husband has and he gives them great reviews for sound clarity and convenience. We will be using theses for their upcoming intended use “gun range” and we don’t foresee any concerns. Overall, great quality, reliable protection, and very comfortable. I picked these up on a heavy Black Friday sale and I'm so glad I did. I've been needing something simple and small to carry with me when I go hunting that I could potentially slip on before making a shot to protect my hearing. I knew I wasn't going to carry some big bulky earmuffs but at the same time didn't want to be fiddling with little ear plugs while I have gloves on and potentially have a big buck spook off while I keep dropping ear plugs. These are the perfect answer and just after buying them I put them to use in the field and shot my 1st buck of the season! The blacked out camo looks really cool, the build quality is amazing and the fit is perfect. The earpads can be easily adjusted, and on top of all that is the obvious fact that they are also ELECTRONIC and can be easily turned on and off and volume adjusted on the fly and these give you the ability to still hear through the electronic left and right microphones, but as soon as any loud noise happens the microphones immediately muffle/filter the loud noise so you can hear everything around you but then as soon as you take a shot the loud shot sound isn't loud at all. That's a great feature for hunting and also for range time! These are a great value for the money, super lightweight, function just as intended, look cool, fit and feel great, I highly recommend them. And as mentioned before they address my need for not having something bulky to carry out to the stand I can literally put these in my coverall's chest pocket and pull then out when I get to the stand, no problem. This is going to be a tricky review considering I am not an expert. First impressions were amazing, it felt so solid and luxurious. The quality felt that of unboxing an iPhone. The electronics also sound great, tested it on a few small scale sounds and it worked really well. The only part that is not perfect is getting into higher caliber rifles it does not muffle the sound as well as I had hoped. So again this could be what it’s designed for and I am just reaching its limits or it just doesn’t sound deaden as much as I expected. But if I put foamy in and these on top of those then it works perfectly fine. I cannot review the earmuffs because I switched them to gel earmuffs before I ever used them. ... show more
