  • Works Great and Easy to Set Up
Style: 4K S
I’ve had a great experience with this capture card. The video quality is sharp, setup was quick, and it worked without any issues. It’s been reliable for recording and streaming gameplay, and the passthrough looks great. If you’re looking for a quality capture card, this one is worth the money

  • Great quality
Style: 4K S
Works very well, and as always Elgato's products. I can confirm that I’m able to capture and stream at 1440p 120Hz without any problems. If you’re wondering whether you can play directly from the capture preview in the Elgato 4K app, I’d say it really depends on the game. For story games, I think it’s totally fine, but for competitive games like COD, FIFA, or Valorant, you can definitely notice the small amount of input delay. Other than that, it’s a great capture card for high quality streaming. I don’t really see a need to go for the 4K X unless you have more specific needs. For a normal user, this one is more than enough and delivers great results. ... show more

  • Husband Loves It
Style: 4K S
I bought this for my husband, who is a big gamer, and he absolutely loves it. I wanted something that would be easy for him to set up and use, and this was a great choice. The video quality is excellent, and he was able to get everything running quickly. He uses it to record gameplay and stream, and he's been impressed with how smooth and reliable it is. It's made a noticeable difference in the quality of his content. Overall, it was a great purchase and a gift that actually gets used regularly. If you have a gamer in your life, I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Absolute must for capturing Switch 2 gaming footage
Style: 4K S
If you’re looking for stunning video capture of game footage for YouTube with no hassles, this is it. Works perfectly with my Switch 1 and Switch 2, among other consoles. This did cause some havoc with my ASUS ROG Xbox Ally, but I blame that on the AMD graphics driver rather than the capture card.

  • Excellent Capture Card with Outstanding Performance, but Be Aware of the PS5 HDCP Setting 🙃
Style: 4K S
I’ve had a great experience with the Elgato 4K capture card overall. Once everything was set up correctly, it performed exactly as advertised. The video quality is excellent, recordings are smooth, and I haven’t experienced any noticeable input delay or recording lag. For gaming and content creation, it’s been a reliable addition to my setup. One thing I think PS5 users should know before purchasing is that you’ll need to disable the HDCP setting on your PlayStation before using the capture card. If you don’t, you’ll likely be greeted with a black screen, which can be frustrating if you aren’t aware of the cause. Once I disabled HDCP, the capture card worked flawlessly. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because disabling HDCP comes with a tradeoff. I typically use my PS5 for more than just gaming—I also watch YouTube and Netflix. Since HDCP must remain disabled while using the capture card, I had to change how I use my console because those streaming apps require HDCP to function. It’s not an issue with the capture card itself, but it’s something potential buyers should be aware of before purchasing. Overall, this is an excellent capture card that delivers high-quality recordings with dependable performance. If your primary goal is recording or streaming gameplay, I highly recommend it. Just be sure to disable HDCP on your PS5 before getting started, and you’ll save yourself a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT PRODUCT
Style: 4K S
This product has added to our livestream as it is 4K. Our other one was 1080P. No issues with installation.

  • Perfect for most. Best if you have no pc and want to do console gaming
Style: 4K S
I’d highly recommend this capture card if you are doing console gaming and don’t have a pcie slot or a pc at all. The more expensive capture card is the 4k x and in a nutshell the only differences are that there’s a little preview lag on obs (which is useless when you’re looking at your monitor or tv anyways), it only does 4k60 and not 4k144 (besides maybe using 144hz for slow motion editing, any streaming platform doesn’t support the high refresh rate). I’m sure there’s other differences but really besides a few niche cases the 4k s is the best option. I’m using it to capture my switch 2 gameplay on my MacBook Pro, which the switch 2 can only do 4k 60, and it’s been a flawless experience ... show more
