I wanted a screen to hide my hvac unit and everything I looked at seemed to be white, so I was delighted to find this one in brown. I received it a few days ago and this morning I opened it up to install. I am a 62 yo woman, so good instructions are needed ;-) and these were slightly lacking. However, I gathered my tools and laid everything out, only to find that the parts list included "post decor" x 5 under "D". I didn't have any of those, which was disappointing. Not sure if I should try and put it together without, and what effect it will have if I do? Otherwise I think it would have worked nicely. ... show more

This product worked well to hide our large HVAC unit on the side of the house. It is fairly easy to assemble with two persons. It seems quite sturdy. It looks very nice. Make sure when you assemble it that you check the direction of the louvers so that each panel has the louvers going in the same direction, either facing up or down, whichever you prefer. The stability is not great if you’re having it free standing and not staked in turf. It has a tendency to lean so added stability hardware is needed if you intend to have this somewhere regularly visible and not in grass with stakes.

This was very easy to put together but use your common sense. The instructions are not clear and the screws are not labeled correctly. I put it together by myself (female). That said, take it to the location you will place it and put it together one panel at a time then fine tune your location and link the two panels. The easiest way to put the stakes in correctly is not using a measuring tape. Place it exactly where you want it, with the top cap off, take a tablespoon of flour, baking soda, or talc powder and drop it down the center square. That will show you 'exactly' where you need to place the stake. The stakes do not screw in. You slide the fence over them. ... show more

I needed two sections of 4' x 4' fence to shield my pool pump. After spending hours searching online and in stores, I found this product. It's exactly what I wanted and the price was not exorbitant like most of the vinyl fences out there. The instructions were a little confusing on where to put the metal ground stakes as there is a predrilled hole a few inches from the top of the stake, but it says to leave 9 inches of the stake above ground so the holes on the plastic fence and metal stakes didn't line up. I ended up drilling another hole into the metal stake to secure the fence. Other that that it seems sturdy enough. ... show more
