Overall, not a terrible product, although my chihuahuas refused to use it, so I ended up giving it to Good Will. The assembly wasn't horrible (mostly user error!), but it's definitely NOT waterproof, so if left on an open porch, rain will puddle on the bed part. Hopefully, whoever purchased my bed from GW is getting good use out of it for their dog(s)!

I just got this today. Set it up at camp. The front of the camper is full sun for part of the afternoon, so I am hoping this will give her some shade. She hates to be inside. Set up was easy. I only looked at directions really for the canopy. And then it is a quick loop and hook type thing. Easier than any tent. I texted her up first with treats. Then left her alone. She climbed back in and laid down making herself comfortable. I believe she likes being up off the ground. I have not gotten her to use indoor beds this easy.

This elevated dog bed came with simple instructions that were easy to follow for the most part. Most of the assembly is common sense because I've put so many of these together in the past. I have a 47# dog that likes to use cots while we camp, and I liked the added feature of the canopy to keep the sun off of her during the summer. The mat holds her weight well, and I like that she's elevated enough to get air circulation around her. The canopy attaches kind of like a tent, but it doesn't lock in anywhere. I'm afraid a good gust of wind will take it off. A dog would also be able to remove the canopy, so I suggest the company should add a locking feature. I do like that the bed can be used without the canopy as well. I really like that the bed is easy to clean! Overall, this is lightweight, provides shade and air circulation, and great for camping trips.

I got this bed for a block party to use as a "cool off" station for neighborhood dogs, with some icy water outside in case they overheated in the summer sun; I also wanted to have something for our dog to use in the backyard, as the makeshift kennel shelter I have wasn't getting any use. Our dog is a great Pyrenees, and the XL size does fit her ok laying down - getting in does require some ducking however, and her nearly 100 lb frame bows the bottom down a bit. With all her fur, it's nice to have the coolikg bottom as well, especially with her hips getting painful in her older years. The assembly instructions were a bit confusing, but everything went together pretty painlessly (it helps if you're experienced with tent building at all). While the top is lightweight, it does strap around the feet securely enough to prevent flying away if done properly. As far as being portable, it does require some disassembly, so it's not as easy as picking it up or removing the top. I'll be taking it down for the colder months, which she loves of course, but think it should last at least a couple years of normal usage - assuming she still feels like climbing in awkwardly!

For $59, this is pure junk! No center support bar or instructions to put it together. I have no clue to how the straps actually attach to the base of the dog bed. If you look closely at all of the pictures on Amazon, the straps do not exist. The picture instructions are absolutely useless. Can they make the pictures any smaller to look at? Seriously, this is not made in the USA and it shows. I highly recommend you take a pass on this elevated dog bed. If it wasn’t such a pain, I’d return it in a heartbeat!

Beware. The bed installs nicely, but the canopy that goes with the bed is too small. It falls short of lining up with the canopy poles it supposed to attach to. I returned the bed for a full refund.

This is flimsy and sure to melt in the sun..also item isn’t as described. There is NO center bracing so this thin pvc overlay will sag and probably split. I have a 30 pound dog and it doesn’t support him at all—he sags and almost touches ground.
