This is a very nice night cream: It moisturizes well without being greasy, it's thick but applies easily, and it doesn't inflame my sensitive, blemish-prone skin. Is it worth the astronomical price? I haven't seen any miraculous results, though in theory the value is in preventing future wrinkles, which is hard to disprove! I will say that the cream is dense enough that a dab will cover your entire face and neck. I'd estimate that a tub will last a typical person 100 days.

I've been a fan of some of Elemis products since before it was bought out by L'Occitane. But it has always been very hit or miss. They are generally very overpriced but occasionally I've been referred to one that is a winner and been pleased. I really wavered between giving this four and five stars even though it may not be worth the money for most people because it is doing really well with my skin despite the fragrances. I rarely do well with fragrances in my skin creams but for some reason, these ingredients aren't bothering my sensitive skin right now. The reason I settled on four stars is that my biggest concern with this product, though, is that the ingredients can't stay fresh in a jar like this because they are exposed to the air the moment the wide-mouthed jar is opened. In a pump, these ingredients could have stayed fresher. Even with the six month expiration period, these ingredients will be gradually degrading. I'm actually crazy enough that I'm going to portion some out and put them in smaller containers in the refrigerator to try to prolong the life of the ingredients. This cream has some really interesting ingredients like phosphatidylcholine which I have never seen in a skin care item before. Thats a supplement usually used for internal use i.e. to help brain function. There are a host of equally innovative ingredients so I was really curious how I would do with this mix. It's definitely a unique product and for that, Elemis deserves some credit. I am not seeing any anti-aging effects with this product, so if you are looking for anti-aging, there is a really good fragrance free drug store brand with retinol that will do a better job for you for a fraction of the price. This one is really moisturizing, though. It is a bit thick so I have to spread it very thin but I love the feel of it, especially when I wake up in the morning. My skin feels really moisturized and healthy. I think it could be greasy for those with less dry skin though. Only you can decide what your goals are when choosing a beauty product and if you want to spend this much money. I can say that I've found five star skin creams for a lot less and that as much as I'm enjoying this, I probably won't buy it again because I've found some I love almost as much that are also anti-aging and better packaged so the ingredients are better preserved.

I don't have a clue as to how efficacious this cream might be and the reality is I only took this brand - as is the case with nearly all of the brands floating through the vine program - because it had an obscene price... for a paltry amount. Despite what might be promoted by Amazon regarding the Vine Program, a review is essentially obligatory no matter how uninformed the person submitting the review might be in relation to any given product area. I give these skin care products to my wife in the attempt to curry favor although I'm not sure there's any genuine benefit for me there either as she isn't as obsessed with skin care products as I tend to notice so many others are. In fact, what she said was she is generally too tired at night to wash her face before going to bed and isn't about to change her nightly routine merely to try out a product for me to review. Of course, we're compatible which is why we've been together for ages so I completely get that. Which also alludes to the fact she's economical as well and requests that I continue to take these alternating varieties of hag cream because it reduces her out of pocket expense for "something" to use and there is the remote possibility one of them might prove to be true to the marketing claims. Now, while she didn't follow the suggested regimen she also didn't have any adverse reactions. She said there's too much fragrance for her preferences. It's silky feeling, is efficiently absorbed and seems to last...but it didn't magically result in the disappearance of the few facial creases she has. That's about it. But I don't apologize as I can see there are plenty of users with chemist degrees to meet the needs of potential purchasers who are interested in that information.

If you've tried the ELEMIS pro collagen cream for the daytime, this is basically the night time version. The scent is identical, just toned down slightly, and the color is golden instead of white. It's just as, or maybe a little more moisturizing, and is easily absorbed by the skin. You really don't need to use a lot for small wrinkles. Unlike the daytime one, this comes in a small jar and you kinda scoop the amount you need - a light dab is sufficient, really. The daytime one is like a pump bottle.
