My 11 year old picked this skate board out. I was reluctant to buy untested on line. But we both were dissatisfied with what we found at the local Walmart regarding quality. When this skate board arrived I was pleasently surprised by the quality of bearings and elasomeric components. Even I (a 50+ gentlemen) can ride this thing down the road with ease and pleasure versus the previous cheapo versions. I bought this skateboard as my first real board. It arrived quickly, and was easy to build. The board was very good quality, however, the trucks, wheels, bearings, and especially the brushings were all very cheap. Once I replaced them, however, the board has worked fabulously. A Christmas gift for my son. I wanted something better than the Wal-Mart Special but didn't want to spend several hundred dollars for his first skateboard. The Element was perfect. He loves it and his friends all want one.

My son loves it but he did break his arm twice since we bought it. He did say the bearings on the wheels weren't that great, but other than that he likes it.

Perfect for the beginning skate boarder. My son loved putting the whole thing together and has been using for months with no problems. I would buy this again for sure.
