It is very hot -- kind of suffocating, and now I am buying a different duvet insert and feel like the $89 that I spent on this one went down the drain. Who needs down comforters/duvet inserts when you have down alternative set like this. Bedding is my thing. I like bedding. I I have plenty of white box stitched comforters like this but this one is a tad different. It has stripes down it and on the shams. It’s looks like a $300 Down Comforter. It’s super soft and fluffy. 200 Thread Count Egyptian Cotton King size Striped Cotton Comforter Set includes one comforter, 108" x 88" and two pillow shams 20" x 36". box-stitching design to prevent any filling from shifting and bunching, eliminating cold spots and promising an even layer of warmth. Filled with down-alternative fiber, this comforter will be ultra soft and plush, providing long lasting comfort. Also including four built-in corner tabs for those looking to pair it with a duvet cover. These tabs help to secure your duvet and protect against shifting. It’s an all year, comfortable, medium weight. Personal I go back and forth. I have Down and Down Alternative Comforters. I do think the down is not as fluffy. I think in the past down was the king but with what they can make for filling in this modern world is so good. It’s not the polyester from 20-30 years ago. Here is a hint that you are buying a quality comforter or anything fabric. If it is Oeko-Tex 100 Certified. What is this? OEKO-TEX 100 STANDARD CERTIFIED- All our products are STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX. The foundation itself dates to 1992, with the straightforward aim to use laboratory tests to ensure that textile products are harmless to health. Since then the foundation has grown to become the benchmark for textile manufacturing excellence. Then they are stitched, individually inspected to be defect free and finally, packed for sales. I personal are more eager to buy anything with cloth that has that certificate. It says to me the manufacturer care enough to get his cloth tested. You can feel confident no bad/unhealthy stuff is in your fabrics. All this fir well under $100, what a value. I highly recommend this set to family and friends. 5 Stars. After sleeping in this for 2 weeks now, I have finally come to the conclusion that this is my favorite comforter out of all the ones I've owned. It's a light to -a midweight blanket that keeps me warm at night but doesn't overheat. The texture is super soft and has a luxurious look to it. Something you would see in a high-end hotel. I've given it a wash and it came out just the same as it did when it arrived. Just FOLLOW the instructions provided. The plastic casing it comes in has a zipper making it easy for storage, but why would you want to do that?! It's marvelous. I showed a King Sham comparison in one of the photos with a normal size pillow inside of it to give a size comparison. They were great for a body pillow if you put the two together. It's definitely not a lightweight comforter. But, it is a really nice quality. It's soft, And a bit heavy, And I do like that it comes with shams, but my understanding was that it was a duvet insert. I think that it could be used as either a comforter or an insert, I definitely plan on using it as a traditional duvet, and getting covers so that the white doesn't get ruined. ... show more
