Bought this as a Christmas gift for my godson and he loves it! He really likes bubble gum machines and candy dispensers so I thought this would be right up his alley.     • Pretty good toy once you get it going
Bought for my 10 yr old daughter as a Christmas gift.... she is obsessed with claw machines. It works pretty well, but was tough to get going. You have to unscrew about 10 screws to take the top off and use it for the first time. (We only keep 2 screws in it for daily use and that does the trick). Also, when I put the batteries in and went to turn it on, nothing was happening. I realized that you have to insert a coin in the slot to get it to turn on (sometimes 2 coins). As far as the volume, it’s pretty loud. I just have my daughter play with it on the carpet and that lowers the sound a bit. ... show more

    • Doesn't pick up a darn thing!
The last one we owned (purchased 15 years ago) LOOKS exactly the same as this one, down to the very last detail. Bur one HUGE difference is the quality of the product and how much its changed over the years. Mainly the claw itself is now made of cheap plastic and not metal. It's extremely WEAK and won't even pick up lightweight candy like a Tootsie Roll or small bit of taffy etc... We tried and tried for over an hour attempting to get any one piece out without success! The old machine was a three or four attempt (at most) before you would successfully get a "reward". The machine is very loud as well, but honestly that doesn't bother me (at least I always knew when they were playing with it before and could monitor the candy intake - now it doesn't matter because they will never get the candy out anyway!). A waste of money and really frustrating for both kids and their adults alike. Would NOT recommend. ... show more

The claw here isn’t strong enough to pick up any sort of wrapped candy or small toys or anything. It barely works with loose gumballs and unwrapped candies. Not ideal.

This machine is the perfect gift for any child that loves vending machines. My little ones love the challenge and enjoy putting different items inside to 'win'. It's also better than the other machine my kids have that is a different brand/design.

    • This thing is LOUD
This claw machine is actually really great. The entry point for the treats is small, but you can unscrew the entire top for greater access. The claw is a bit weak, so be careful about what you fill it with (the pony bottles of alcohol I put it were too heavy) (they still got a kick out of it) The machine is LOUD, but goven we are a bunch of engineers, we dismantled and cut the audio cord, so it was still functional but had no sound. The media could not be loaded. I absolutely LOVE this claw machine. I feel like I’m in a carnival everytime I play it. I arrived very fast, easy to put items inside, and the sounds and lights work perfectly as well as the movement of the claw. I definitely recommend this.
