    • Better for lower back
This standing desk is used for my wife and my youngest child who has school at home. Since, my youngest has school 5 days a week I didn't want my wife and child sitting too long in front of the computer as sitting down for long periods is very bad for your lower back. Pros: 1. Moves up and down easily with no strain on your back. 2. Allows you to stand or sit 3. Has enough room for computer and some small items. Cons: 1. This desk had damage to the table top as it was chipped. (If I based my review on this factor it probably would have been rated a 2, but for me the function of saving lower back pain and for my child's school is more important). ... show more

    • Gamers with bad backs...
My son and I both suffer from a degenerative disease that affects our spines. We find it difficult to sit for long periods of time. This is unfortunate because I am a published novelist and my son is a student who loves to game. I ordered this desk for my son because I thought the hydraulic lift would give him the option to sit or stand. The desk was very heavy and a little complicated to assemble. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but there is a rod in the back of the desk that was a real PITA to install. It was definitely a two-person job. Once assembled, I had mixed feelings. It is not the most stylish desk. The faux wood had a few chips and just looked super faux. The hydraulic lift works well and raised the desk to multiple levels - which means it can be adjusted to suit many heights. For the price, this is a good - not great - standing desk. ... show more

This is the second standing desk I have gotten, and I love it! For an entry level/budget option, this is a great fit. My only concern at the start is it's stability, but as long as you don't overload it, it will work perfectly. The wood texture feels great, and it was surprisingly easy to assemble (although the directions are not sure clear). This is a nice adjustable desk. It can be a standing desk or Lowe’s for sitting. Assembly was pretty straightforward and took maybe 30 minutes. It is heavy duty and fits nicely in the corner.

This desk is a fabulous value for an electric adjustable height desk! Seriously- this desk looks high quality, feels high quality, the motor is quiet, and it didn't take too long to assemble. I have absolutely zero complaints and am so glad I ordered this particular desk!

Putting this standing desk together is an easy process for a team of two. The instructions are easy to follow and none of the steps made us frustrated. The only step that requires a bit of finesse is inserting a rod between the two sides of the table once they are connected. The metal base is incredibly sturdy and has some real weight to it. The only thing that wasn’t so great was the wooden table top. One of the pieces had damage on both sides from a factory dent. It required superglue to prevent the crack in the veneer from spreading. Conclusion: Functionally this standing desk is perfect but there is a quality assurance issue with the wooden table top pieces where millage may vary.
