OMG, literally used it right out of the box. Because it was my first time, I splashed a little on the floor, I would recommend placing a towel under this or at least around it on the floor. I used my shower head to fill it My first load consisted of 2 women's t shirts, 4 underwear, and a hand towel. I think it would easily handle a few more small items. I set the timer for the full 15 minutes and let it go. It was SUPER quiet and I was very impressed at the movement in the machine. I honestly think this little thing washed my clothes better than my moms regular washer.I drained it in my shower and filled the tub with water and rinsed for 5 minutes and repeated this again. I filled the tub to 75% because the movement does cause some splashing, I am pretty sure if you fill it to the top, it could get messy. I absolutely loved it! This machine is broken and looks used! The Knob it’s not working! This is 2nd time Amazon has send me a broken Machine. I barely unboxed this one & the knob makes this noise and water it’s not even turning! This time I paid much more than 1st one for nothing! How sad I must go again trough return- refund long process !!! ... show more

    • If You Can Strangle to Dry....
Honestly was very skeptical about purchasing this. I would not recommend buying it brand new. I purchased Used-Like New for half the price. If you were to pay full price I recommend finding a different washer. Here's why... 1. LOAD SIZE) This machine is sure light weight, that being said, you will only be able to wash light weight items. For me, a Hoodia and two pillow cases. Maybe 6 sets of socks and 4 boxers. If a pair of jeans, you will only be able to wash them by alone. 2. PROCESS) You will need to do multiple cycles. Quite teadeaous! Water Soap, Timer, Drain, Water, Timer, Drain, once again, Water, Timer, Drain. For every load. Load time is on average 10-15 minutes. 3. DRY) Mine did not come with a spin basket to dry, but seeing some reviews I do not see any difference really. You will still need to strangle your clothing! Hahaha. If your like me, ( NOT FOR SOFT HANDS ), you will tear your skin eventually and it is not a fun healing process. 3. SOAP) When using such a small machine like this, you will need to be light on soap. I can not stress thus enough. Condensed soap especially. I made a mistake of using just a tablespoon over what I would recommend, took 2 extra cycles and some strangling in between. Be careful. 4. SMELL) My machine has an electric vs plastic smell. You will problem not understand that analogy until you are face to face with this machine. Smells as if the motor is burning out. 5. SOUND) This machine is definitely not as loud as a full size washer, but be warned, the sound thus machine makes, is not exactly pleasant. Not too loud, but definitely not quiet. My machine sounds like it is dying while cycling. 6. DRAINAGE) This machine drains with gravity. Like a siphone. If your tube is not facing the sky, ceiling, what be, your machine WILL NOT hold water, so be sure to remember this before complaining in reviews scaring us saying it will not hold water! It washes, rinses and drains. I should have bought one that would spin dry. Next time I will get one that has all functions to it.

I live in a one-bedroom apartment, with absolutely no extra space. This is ideal very quiet very efficient and saves me trips to and from the laundromat. Which is difficult since I am home bound.     • Beware-No Spin Cycle.
It does not spin the clothes, to remove some of the water. You have to wring the clothes out by hand. How did I miss that?! Waste of money. Other portable washing machines have a small basket and a spin cycle.
