Oh, to be young again. This is the super-modified, techy, self-propelled, upgraded version of my first skateboard. A small, slippery, wooden plank, rounded at the front and back, with 4 four small wheels, that could turn, sort of. This large, modern, rechargeable electric skateboard by DresKar, offers remote control, 4 speeds, great handling, excellent range, a wide, supportive platform, braking, reverse and cruise control! Wow! I won’t be doing any stunts on this, ever, hey, just turned 65 this year, haha! but it will be fun to take a trip to the store and pick up a few things. I could see myself using it on our local bike trails, which are paved. I used it for the first time today after charging it fully. I got used to it really quickly and within 10-15 minutes I was doing circles. It works amazing! I love that it can handle 20% grades and 286 lb. capacity, as I’m 240. With boots, motorcycle jacket, helmet and gloves, maybe 250. Having safety gear is SUCH a smart move. I was doing great in a large, empty parking lot, practicing circles, figure eights, S-turns, braking, etc. and just as I was getting ready to go home I fell, landing on my hip and pulling a groin muscle. I wasn’t even going fast. So glad for the helmet and gear. This is a seriously fun toy, but you have to be sharp. It goes pretty fast, although the hand-held remote allows you to readily reduce “throttle” and brake, if needed. Heck, it even has reverse, which I could see coming in handy some time. The top, sand-coated surface is super-tacky, so once your feet are planted, they aren’t moving, which is great. I found that having the front foot at a 45 degree angle and the back foot at a 90 degree angle, more or less, in relation to the direction of travel, worked best for me. It’s a cool sensation leaning in or out a LOT, while doing circles and figure eights, which I recommend practicing often until you can master tight turns as a second nature. It’s all about building that muscle memory skill set, so when needed, you don’t have to think about it, it just happens. Rough surfaces slows down the board, while smooth surfaces really let it take off. Wheeeeee! I’ll be using this whenever the weather cooperates and look forward to testing its range. The handle in the middle makes carrying this easier, but not easy, as it is pretty heavy. Comes with instructions, charger, cables, 12 month warranty on the board and 6 months warranty on the battery. Huh?! What??? Why is the battery warranty only 6 months? I like everything about this except for that. Most lithium batteries will last for years, but you do need to keep them charged and not let them freeze. If you are in the market for a unique gift for a skateboarder in your family, this would be an awesome gift for the right person. Although not cheap, you do get a lot for your money. Latest tech in E-skateboards. Much cheaper than an E-bike. Excellent range of 12.5 miles, 25 mph top speed, and some premium features like braking, reverse and cruise control. This electric skateboard is wild, and I have so much fun riding on it all day. It could be a little scary at times but it's also very easy to move around.

The media could not be loaded. This thing is an absolute BLAST to ride. Had me carving up and down my street until the battery power started to die! Amazingly smooth, stepping onto the top deck felt like I was glued in and one with the board. You can “feel the force!”. Construction: * Build quality is solid, quite heavy, but flexible w/springiness to absorb jumps etc. * Two-tone grip tape looks pretty cool. There was an air bubble in one spot but was able to smooth it out. Definitely keeps foot from slippage. * Deck is actually concave, this helped to lock my footwork in place, felt comfortable. * Built in carry handle makes lugging it around much easier, as the board has some weight to it and carrying it around under your arms would be a total killer. Performance: * Advertised speed list 26mph. Confirmed using the remote in 4th gear the free wheel speed showed 26mph, however the fastest I got it to was “22mph” which isn’t too bad! * Climbing hills the board motors has no problems pushing forward using any of the 4 gear speeds. However tried climbing a steep driveway greater than 40 degree + and noticed in 1st gear it couldn’t do it. Switching to 2nd not a problem! Battery life: * The board list a 12mile range, I was only able to get ~8-9 total cumulative miles before the board would start loosing power. * Since I used it on multiple sessions throughout a few days, a better range test would have been a single session on a long flat trail? Overall battery life could be better but still met my expectations. Remote: * Included in box was a non-lcd remote control. Very simple 4sp controller with no bells or whistles (not impressed). Battery life outdated the boards battery. * Dreskar mentioned contacting them for free upgraded extra LCD remote. Took a few weeks to get but gotta say this is the remote they should have included in the first place? LCD displays G=1-4 gear, Battery indicator for both (B=board, R=remote), Current speed (either Mph/Kph), Trip=range in miles, ODO= odometer (but I couldn’t get to work?) The bad about this remote is that it came with no manual so I had NO IDEA, how to use? Ride-ability: * The “Brakes”, be careful this thing can stop on a dime sending you FLYYNG HIGH! Gradually finger control the back slider is my advice. * I did get Wobble at high speed initially out of the box. But simple adjustment, I used the included wrench which was nice and cranked the trucks down -3/4 turn and the board was rock steady afterwards. * Smoothness tires, 90mm, 80A seems to be the right combo. Ran on paved surface over loose pebbles etc., this thing was buttery smooth and just hummmed along! Impressed with how quiet it ran, sounded like a Tesla lol. Bearings seemed decent & wheels spun true. * Beginner vs experienced, if you’re a beginner and has never been on a board start slow and keep in G1 or I’m afraid you’ll get hurt. For more experienced riders you’ll enjoy an effortless smooth ride with speed at your finger tips to carve up any sidewalk or campus playground. As said from the wise, “Control, control you must learn control!” Price value: * On sale currently at less than $330 compared to others this board is reasonably priced. Good for entry level or more experienced riders. Extra free LCD is a must have and well worth it. Saw it listed separately for $39? ... show more
