I LOVE this helmet. I just bought a retro scooter (which is aqua). Add to the fact that I want a color than can be SEEN. HOWEVER…..the description detailed DOT approved (Dept of Transportation). If you ride, you know how crucial that is. But there is NO label or sticker saying this is DOT tested and approved, which is the normal expectation. Cute helmet for a 50cc scooter maybe ?definitely not a 125 or higher, would not wear this on my motorcycle either. wear it on my scooter if I stay under 35mph . It is not certified, Dot nor Ece Not worth the $$$ it is now a cute decor in the garage

FIRST AND FOREMOST, the helmet has zero DOT sticker ANYWHERE (item description claimed DOT compliance). Opened it to the surprise of it including 4 golf ball sized white rocks. Why in the world would this be packaged with rocks (visible at bottom of inner box pic)? As a desiccant? At some point on its way to me, the rocks came out of the ziploc bag they were in and managed up to gouge the helmet and scrape the clear plastic face shield. All to save the ten cent cost of a pack of desiccant? Amazing. I used surgical gloves to toss the rocks into the garbage (because who knows where the rocks came from?) and went over the helmet with clorox wipes to remove the stone dust left by the rocks. Without the DOT sticker, this helmet should be considered costume use only. ... show more
