One thing I hate is crawling under vehicles and struggling to work the grease gun to hit all of the grease fittings. But I restore former military HMMWVs, and ALL of them desperately need to be greased periodically. So, you can imagine how thrilled I am to be able to pull the trigger and let the machine to the work instead of me trying to contort myself into position to work the pump on the old grease gun. Works great. No cord to drag around... runs on batteries. Just keep it charged.

This is a beast when it comes to greasing up your stuff. The first time I used it, I made the mistake of not paying attention to the backside, and I thought it wasn't working—grease was everywhere. LOL! Obviously, it does its job and does it very well. Setup is easy, and the battery life is amazing. The build quality is spot-on, and I love that it comes with a case to keep everything together. Be sure not to assume with this pump. It is working, and if you're not careful, it will make a mess. This is definitely worth the money.

okay, so it's simple to use and with the provided batteries it works okay. However, after testing it, a 14oz grease tube from my local automotive or hardware store here in the US did not fit it. I had to order grease tubes also. This is not a big dealbreaker but for the price, I can spend $20-$50 more at a local hardware store and just get a name-brand model. I have batteries with my brand kits already, so the extra cheaply made batteries are not worth the extra amount. So if the price were less, around the $69-$79 range, I could see this as a decent replacement. The value is just not that great in my opinion. Also, the box arrived in good shape but the case was smashed on the side. It was smashed originally, and still shipped. The extra accessories, I am not sure I would even use them honestly. So to me, this is a decent replacement but not for the money. I can get a name-brand grease gun for not much more.

The instructions that come with this grease gun kit are pretty bad. The printing is so small that is nearly impossible to read without a magnifier. They have a numbered list of what is what on the grease gun but fail to reference that numbering against the picture of the grease gun. I think they make a lot of assumptions that the buyer will automatically know everything there is to know about using a grease gun. To make a long story short, I think the instructions should be redone. Just to let you know, a standard USA, 14-ounce grease cartridge does not fit the grease canister on this gun. This is set up to either use the red suction ring that is included in this kit, this ring goes inside a bucket of grease and you use the canister to suck the grease directly from the bucket into the canister. Or, you can manually load the grease into the gun. I unscrewed the grease gun canister from the gun and pulled the plunger back until it locked in that position. I have some 14-ounce grease cartridges and made a little plunger to push the grease directly from the cartridge into the grease gun canister. I pulled both tabs off the 14-ounce cartridge and the end that had the plastic cap on it, once the cap is removed, that part of the cartridge will fit into the grease gun canister. Unfortunately, that is the end that is supposed to go into the grease gun. Even if you could use the cartridge this way, the plunger in the grease gun canister is too big to fit into the cartridge. Anyway, with part of the cartridge inserted into the canister, I was then able to use the plunger I made to shove the grease from the 14-ounce cartridge directly into the grease gun canister with very little mess. I took what grease was left in the cartridge and packed that into the grease gun itself where the canister would screw into the gun. I did this to minimize any air that might be trapped in the canister. I then screwed the canister into the gun and released the plunger and pushed it down. Next, I installed the battery. If you look at the grease fitting where the hose attaches, you will see a small valve directly above it. Open this valve. Start the grease gun and when you see a tiny bit of grease coming out of this valve, stop the grease gun and close the valve. This bleeds out any air that might still be in the canister. If you don’t get all the air out, the gun may not operate. The gun is not broken but the trapped air is preventing the grease from being pumped into the hose. After all the above, I used the gun and it worked very well. I want to mention that this gun is brand new at the time I am writing this review. I don’t know how well it will hold up over time but right now, outside of the grease issue and as I said above, it is working well with no other problems. I really do like this grease gun. Also, I never have used these but I will mention that there are these grease cartridges that look kind of like an accordion bellows and these might work in this gun but I am not sure. I found the storage case is pretty nice but it might be a little messy to keep the grease gun stored in there after using it for a while. This kit does come with some grease fittings and the tools you need to assemble them to the hose and grease gun. The charger feels super lightweight and cheaply made but it works as do the batteries. Overall, there are some issues but I am primarily concerned with the operation of the gun which is good and the gun and batteries feel heavy and like they are pretty good quality.

Excellent tool and great quality! Got this for use at work for when I have to grease belt lines and heavy equipment at work. Let me just say this grease gun works great, I have had no issues with it so far, it's easy to load and use. It's heavy duty and made with good quality materials. I like the included hard case it comes in also, it makes storing it for the next use much better and helps keep the grease gun cleaner because it's not just tumbling around in my work truck with all the rest of the tools getting all scratched up. In my opinion this grease gun is a good value and I would recommend it.

this is an all inclusive kit (minus grease) and it should be for the price. I did check what the other reviewers said and they are correct. It doesn’t take the std. 14 U.S. grease cartridge so you will have to pack the gun yourself or fill from a tube using the included hardware. Finally yes those batteries are Mikita so you can use their batteries. I know from working with makinex that Mikita will farm out their batteries to others no problem. All in all this is a pretty good grease gun setup and I am happy with it.
