At the time of placing the order this was $99 which is a fair price. The fence is easy to unroll on the ground and then set up. It is important to plan how you intend to get into and out of the fenced in area especially if you are putting power to it. The netting is brightly colored and the 14 posts hold the net upright. The net is a physical deterrent, adding power to it is a second level of protection. I'm using this to protect part of our property border where I have about 35 small lavender seedlings that I'm going to plant and care for. Since these are so small the fence is very good for protecting them from deer and bunnies that might see it as a snack. It's not really until the second year that the seedlings will be woody and scented enough to be deer and rabbit resistant, until then I'm using this fence to protect them. So far the fence is pretty durable, I occasionally have to reset the posts after very heavy wind or rain, but no breaks or rips so far.

I needed a fence to help keep deer out of our garden and away from our apple trees. I did not realize how long this fence was until I set it up. The listing says 164 feet, and that is accurate. It ended up being much longer than I expected, which is a good thing. I filmed and took pictures of it installed at full length. The fence is well made, and the nylon material feels very strong. All of the horizontal fence ropes except the bottom one have multiple stainless steel strands embedded in them. This helps with electrical conductivity and also helps prevent a single wire failure from making the whole fence useless. Having the bottom row non-electrified also makes sense because it helps prevent the fence from shorting out against the ground or grass. This is really a complete fence kit, and it is well put together. It even comes with an “Electric Fence” warning sign. I also like that each end of the fence has a connector, which means you can connect multiple fence sections together if you need to cover a larger area. The main thing you still need is a fence energizer. Unrolling and setting up the fence was not too bad, but it does take some patience to avoid tangling it. After installing the fence, all I had to do was connect my solar fence energizer, and our trees were protected. The posts are a bit flimsy, but they work. A lot depends on how evenly you stretch the fence. The spikes are sharp and strong enough to go into fairly hard ground. One thing to note is that the actual fence height is about 42.5 inches, so a deer could technically jump over it. But after getting zapped and making a very quick retreat back toward the woods, they seem to learn fast. The height may not stop them by itself, but the electric deterrent does the job. This fence should work well for temporary installations, keeping larger animals in, or helping keep deer out of smaller gardens or tree areas. In my case, I am using it to keep animals away from our apple trees, and it works well for that. One important note: I would not use this for poultry. The openings are too large, and chickens could potentially get tangled in the netting. Overall, this is a good electric fence kit. It makes setup much easier and faster than installing individual posts, running wire, and adding separate insulators. For a temporary or seasonal fence around a garden, trees, or a small pasture area, this is a very practical option.

The fence itself seems decent, but the included posts are disappointing. They are very flimsy and don't hold up well in rocky or even normal ground. It was extremely difficult to pull the fence tight because the posts would bend instead of staying straight. As a result, the fence sags more than I'd like, and the droopiness is frustrating. If the posts were stronger, this would be a much better product. I would recommend purchasing sturdier replacement posts if you plan to use this on anything other than very soft ground.

This fence kit is doing exactly what I needed, keeping deer out of the garden perimeter. I am currently using it without an energizer, so I cannot speak to its effectiveness as an electric fence, but as a physical barrier it holds up well. The rope is sturdy and the overall construction feels solid. Installation was straightforward. The trickiest part was unraveling the fence without it tangling, so take your time with that step. Once it is laid out, the posts go in easily and each one comes with two stakes, which is a real plus for stability. The stake length is adequate and the posts stay firmly in place. The posts also have a bit of flex to them, which should help prevent snapping if something hits the fence or leans into it. One thing worth noting for anyone considering electrifying this fence: the product description says the bottom two rows of rope are not electrified, but there is a metal wire running through them. They may not be connected to the upper rows, but it looks like it could be a relatively simple fix to wire them in if you needed all rows to carry a charge. Something to keep in mind if full electrification matters to you.

The listing has changed since I got this item, so my photos represent a wider hole, a shorter height, but the materials used are the same. Can not beat the value, its the same quality as the fences sold in the brick and mortar stores, just less fancy packaging. Comes with all the little spares, which are not in themselves a selling point but nice to have especially the caps for the stakes. I measured it right at 163ft, but I didn't pull it taught and it wasn't perfectly straight, so I'm betting I could get an extra foot if I tried. If you have never used this style fence, you should consider how you will be getting in and out because you dont want to have to keep pulling the stake (but you could). The stakes were really easy to stab into the ground, much easier than the basic single prong ones you can buy individually. The fiberglass feels plenty stout and coated which may extend their lifespan. The lines are very vibrant, time will tell if the sun fades them. I also found it really easy to adjust and move. Ill say two people makes paking it away a lot easier but it could be done with one person. My goats seem to respect the boundaries now and where before when I was using 4 horizontal electrical lines (not webbed) they would always find a way out.
